I'm having this issue since Firefox 3 (and that was the time Gnome was default window manager in Ubuntu). Now I'm curious why this problem still exists in Ubuntu 11.10 - Firefox is now 7! This problem is somehow Unity-related, as it doesn't happend with Ubuntu Classic interface (at least, I didn't see it so far). I thought I solved this problem by disabling Global menu extension, but it happened again. I just installed a fresh copy of 11.04, because I had too much annoyances after upgrade from 10.10. One of them was that after some time, right-click menu in firefox will dissapear after mouse-over, like this: 1. right-click anywhere in firefox (not just hyperlink) 2. move mouse in any direction - menu dissapears This behaviour can be fixed by minimizing firefox window and maximizing it again, but after some time, it happens again. And it happens again after fresh install. Extremly annoying. I had the same issue on 11.04 but I could easily solve this, with the workaround found here: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/753329#answer-161051 Workaround: In Firefox, Go to advanced javascript settings in ubuntu it's at Edit-Preferences-Content-Advanced (next to Enable javascript)- and now make sure Disable or replace contex menus is not selected.
