I have a dual boot Windows 2008R2 system on the same machine. Everything works flawlessly. In addition, the problems started after upgrading to 11.04. It seems as though the USB connection is cut for a short time and that makes the audio crack. My USB DAC starts to blink the connection LED when the problem occurs. The connection LED stays on, when everything is OK. I do use a wireless USB mouse and keyboard, but have done so before upgrading to 11.04.
