On older PC (Intel P4 2.8GHz, 1GB ram), I am seeing this lockup with default settings. Ubuntu 11.10, Unity-2D, latest patch/updates loaded. Same with 10.04 on Extensa 5630. Ctrl+Alt+F1 not working. Nothing useful in logs after restart. Completely disabling screensaver helps. Doesnt happen too often, to see if setting screensaver type to blank would help. Yes, i confirm. I have this problem on my pc desktop with Ubuntu 11.04 with Unity and on an Acer Extensa 5220e of my girlfriend with Ubuntu 11.04 with Unity.
