Ubuntu Firefox display error on left hand side of browser. OK, I hope I HAD the same problem. When I would log on to some websites, specifically GMAIL, the left hand side of my Firefox browser would show a display error. It would look like 2"x2" blocks digitizing It's hard to explain. I went to tools and add-ons and added FashGot. So far so good. The error disappeared immediately. I have downloaded flashplayer from the adobe webside. Extracted it. linux32 ./flashplayer-installer. My resolution was 1024*768 but I didn't have this problem on an Edgy or Feisty system.
