2011-07-22 Thread Tristan Schmelcher
FYI, there is some uncertainty as to whether a non-GPL program compiled
by Path64 can be legally distributed. Some parts of the compiler are
licensed as GPL without the GCC Exception.

[Bug 798157] Re: [needs-packaging] ekopath -- Advanced high performance C/C++- and Fortan compiler suite

2011-07-22 Thread Christopher Bergström
There's really no doubt or question here and wasting time going to SFLC
is or should be unnecessary. At the time of the announcement not
everything was public. This was a result of Phoronix leaking it early
and catching us off guard.

Please check the README for path64-suite for everything to clone and see that
the licenses on the runtimes are *NOT* GPLv3.

2011-06-16 Thread Brian Murray
*** This is an automated message ***

This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for
a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug
reports specification,
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-
packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Subsequently, I'm
setting this bug's status to Wishlist.
