Hey, sorry about that Bryce. I am running Gutsy AMD64 and have no problems. It can't standby, but it hibernates. But that matters little to me. Ok, so I did
1) ctrl+alt+F1
2) type in username + password
3) sudo reboot
and this is an error I found:

My processor is an Intel Pentium D 805 processor, as well.

Well, in full detail, the boot-up screen is greyscale and incomplete - the progress bar looks like a bunch of artifacts. The login screen then appears as normal - in color - and then I can enter Ubuntu. I can even use Beryl. The problem I have is when I am shutting down. The bug has appeared ever since I installed Ubuntu 6.10 x86-64, which was a couple days ago. I even typed in a terminal sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart and it did the same thing.
