Bug still exists on Kubuntu 14.04, kernel vmlinuz-3.13.0-37-generic. Not on every boot, but well over half of them. I just noticed this still happens in Ubuntu 13.04 and MacBook Pro 2011 (7,1). This bug seem to still happen in Quantal with kernel 3.5.0-18-generic 32-bit.
