[Bug 82317] Re: segmentation fault (ubuntu)

2009-09-26 Thread Siddarth Kaki
I am suffering from the same problem. When I type in fgfs in the
terminal, it tries to load the default plane, then say segmentation
fault. when I try it from the launcher, it loads up until initializing
subsystems, then closes itself out. Anyone have a solution? By the way,
I am running Ubuntu Jaunty.

It appears to be happening for me again too :( I may try compiling my own
plib later, to see if that fixes it like it did last time...

[Bug 82317] Re: segmentation fault (ubuntu)

2008-01-08 Thread Matthew Vermeulen
This appears to be a problem with plib.. while working through this in
the #flightgear channel, i have now got flightgear working using my own
compiled plib 1.8.5rc1, compiled simgear 1.0.0 and compiled flightgear
1.0.0

This was still an issue even with compiled simgear 1 and flightgear 1,
so it appears to have its root in plib.

2007-05-28 Thread DMF
Same deal as Matthew,

fgfs --log-level=debug attached.

Immediate seg fault for js_demo and fgjs also.

Kubuntu 7.04; x86_64 - has never run! Moving the
/usr/share/games/FlightGear/Input/Joysticks directory out of the way (I
admit it a long shot!) - no change.

[Bug 82317] Re: segmentation fault (ubuntu)

2007-04-18 Thread Matthew Vermeulen
I suspect that these crashes are the result of a problem with another
package installed - even compiling my own flightgear from the source
packages available at flightgear.org does not fix this problem - i've
replaced both flightgear and fgfs-base.

[Bug 82317] Re: segmentation fault (ubuntu)

2007-04-15 Thread Matthew Vermeulen
I have attached the last part of the output of running fgfs --log-level=debug
From what I've been able to tell, it seems to be some problem with
initializing the joystick. Occasionally this will run, but after plugging in a
joystick, and choosing to reload input, it will segfault at exactly the same
place. Rerunning it after that, even without the joystick, will still cause a
segfault.

[Bug 82317] Re: segmentation fault (ubuntu)

2007-04-09 Thread Matthew Vermeulen
This is still happening, but when trying flightgear recently, it started
normally once. Then, every time after that when I start it it segfaults as
before.
The first time it worked, but after that, it doesnt:

The freeglut error occured, iirc, when i pressed the close button.
