sorry I could have given more information on the first post. This probleme starded with Oneric. with earlier snapshot of Oneiric ( Alpha 1/2 ) I was able to unzip a file. I have localized a zip file I have modified in the past on Oneiric, from the Properties menu, the last time the file was changed is the 31th July 2011. I have no issues with rar/tar /iso file. Me, too. I'm getting an error message about an unsupported filetype with every .zip. But it only fails with file-roller. Did this work with a previous version of Ubuntu? You mention this has been the case for a while, how long? Do you remember any software event around when you lost the ability to unzip? Did this happen before your upgrade to oneiric (11.04) about a week ago?
