Public bug reported:
Tried to install skype by double clicking on the .deb, while installing moved
the .deb to a different folder Desktop -> Folder_on_desktop. this corrupted
synaptic.

it.
I tried moving it back:
Could not open "skype debian..."
The package might be corrupted or you are not allowed to open the file.
check the permissions on the file.
then when I opened synaptic:
E: The package skype needs to be reinstalled, but I can't find an archive for
it.
E: Internal error opening cache (1). Please report.
Fixed synaptic by adding skype repo and installing from that.
