[Bug 863836] Re: Text in indicator-session does not reflect the actual status of updates immediately
** Description changed: When new updates are available, say by doing 'sudo apt-get update', the new status is not immediately reflected in the indicator-session. After opening the menu from that indicator, it still says 'Software is updated'. Only after a while, the status is updated, suggesting there is - some kind of time-out, in my finding approx. 2 minutes. + some kind of time-out, in my finding approx. 1 minute. + + After re-login the status is reset and, again after the time-out + updated. My proposal would be that the status is updated every time the menu is drawn, or, even better, to remove the time-out. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/863836 Title: Text in indicator-session does not reflect the actual status of updates immediately To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-session/+bug/863836/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Apparently, then there is no time-out.
