really? It's the new xorg-server most likely... I have no idea what
broke it in the first place, but if it works now that's good to hear.

Close this bug for now, but if the problem happens again I'll let you know.
Hopefully its not one of those on again, off again problems. I hate those.
For now its fine so close this and then hopefully I won't need to report the
problem happening again.

actually, now that I read your original description I don't think this
was a xorg bug at all, since you were able to get to the desktop using
startx. Maybe something with kdm or such. Anyway, closing.

No, unfortunately it doesn't work with the nv driver either, I just
tried it.
