Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: cryptsetup

I am using (worked well in edgy) after a tweak (please see also bug
85640) an encrypted root partition in feisty.

I can NOT mount it readonly (-> no checks on startup). My kernel line in
menu.list of grub is now changed to:

kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.20-8-generic root=/dev/mapper/cryptoroot rw
quiet vga=791 bootkbd=de

Is the cryptsetup kicking in too early in the boot process? Maybe should
wait for a check or issue a 'remount rw' after checking ...

Also look at the option bootkbd. This makes it easy to work with non-US
keyboard layouts. I saw it in Debian etch which works (encrypted / )
flawlessly from another partition in the same machine.
