[Bug 876558] Re: Libreoffice Find window invisible
In http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=273375 I found a simple solution: after deleting $HOME/.libreoffice CTRL-F works again. [Bug 876558] Re: Libreoffice Find window invisible
This bug was noticed in Calc. When doing search, the toolbar was invisible (for the last 2 months...), but the bottom draw toolbar disapeared when searching. I was able to get it back (in Calc) by moving the bottom Draw toolbar to the top. Afterwards, the simple Find toolbar became visible on the bottom. I can see it again :-) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876558 Title: Libreoffice Find window invisible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/876558/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 876558] Re: Libreoffice Find window invisible
I seemed to get it back just now. I realized that the Find toolbar was attached vertically, with no text field. When I detached it from there, and attached it horizontally or freed it, the text field showed up. I'll keep an eye on this to determine if it's the same problem or not. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/876558 Title: Libreoffice Find window invisible To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/876558/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 876558] Re: Libreoffice Find window invisible
Oh I see, yes there is a tiny Find Text box that appears in the upper- right edge of one of my toolbars, but even when I click on the arrow button to expand it, some extra functions are available but still no text box to see what I'm searching for. So this bug seems to go back to a design flaw. This toolbar is on the extreme right-hand side of my screen, and there's no text box. I now see how I can move it to the left side, in which case the text box appears. But to have it as one toolbar among others, and to make it so the whole thing can disappear off the edge of the screen, doesn't make any sense. Why put it in a toolbar as opposed to (as the vast majority of applications do these days) in a little text box in one corner of the main text area (as in Firefox or Gedit). As-is it gets lost very easily.
