[Bug 877765] Re: [Latitude E6510] X crashes when lid is closed
Daniel, I have have encountered this problem on a daily basis. While I tend to avoid closing the lid now knowing it'll crash after some time, I avoid doing so, but I do test it every now then to see if it's been fixed. Definitely still exists. Running up to date 14.04. [Bug 877765] Re: [Latitude E6510] X crashes when lid is closed
Actually: since the problem was reported on Oneiric, which is EOL, and the apport information is from trusty (for which this report is NOT confirmed), I'll set to Invalid (as we never saw a report for any subsequent Ubuntu release, 12.04, 12.10, 13.04, 13.10, 14.04 and 14.10 have been released in the meanwhile, so I presume this was fixed at some point). ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid ** Changed in: xorg-server (Ubuntu) Status: Invalid = Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/877765 Title: [Latitude E6510] X crashes when lid is closed To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/877765/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 877765] Re: [Latitude E6510] X crashes when lid is closed
Jeff Lane, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If so, could you please test for this with the latest development release of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com /daily-live/current/ . If it remains an issue, could you please run the following command in the development release from a Terminal (Applications-Accessories-Terminal), as it will automatically gather and attach updated debug information to this report: apport-collect -p xorg-server REPLACE-WITH-BUG-NUMBER Please note, given that the information from the prior release is already available, doing this on a release prior to the development one would not be helpful. Thank you for your understanding.
