[Bug 916877] Re: unity applications lens should auto expand installed applications by default when the user disables the apps available for download as this is the cause in the first place the user di
Marked 'Won't fix' because we don't want to special case the behaviour of a single Dash Lens. There is also another solution to the request; just expand the category once and it will stay expanded because the Dash is stateful (within sessions). If somebody would like to volunteer to make the Dash stateful between sessions, this is a change we could also consider. Any volunteers? ** Changed in: ayatana-design Status: New = Won't Fix ** Changed in: hundredpapercuts Status: Incomplete = Won't Fix ** Changed in: unity Status: Incomplete = Won't Fix -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/916877 Title: unity applications lens should auto expand installed applications by default when the user disables the apps available for download as this is the cause in the first place the user did disable this feature to save screen space To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/916877/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

the app loading seems to take a fraction of time when expanded so that is one reason for it not being expanded when 'available to download' apps are disabled. ** Project changed: hundredpapercuts = unity (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: unity Importance: Undecided = Low ** Changed in: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Wishlist ** Changed in: unity Importance: Low = Wishlist -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/916877 Title: unity applications lens should auto expand installed applications by default when the user disables the apps available for download as this is the cause in the first place the user did disable this feature to save screen space To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/916877/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

why not to make it as an option and the user free to enable it ? -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/916877 Title: unity applications lens should auto expand installed applications by default when the user disables the apps available for download as this is the cause in the first place the user did disable this feature to save screen space To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/unity/+bug/916877/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
