Hi, I checked it out again. There is a big improvement in time although still slow. It took 2mins 56 seconds to open the file. Then I tried to save it to OpenOffice format and it crashed!!! It loads for me but consumes a very large amount of memory and takes a while to do so. This issue at least at the surface level seems somewhat similar to bug #148148 in that both are large files 3MB+ and both take a huge amount of memory to load and a long time to display as well. OK we have a problem with opening ppt file. I had it to day on Feisty and Ooo 2.2 with a ppt file that came from a windows PC .
