It would appear that it is now certainly fixed. I was able to export this successfully on the i386 as well. As such, I think it seems reasonable and logical to note that the fix was released somewhere between the time of reporting and the present time. Not sure what update that was that fixed it or anything, though. Indeed, it is working as it should be, at least for me, and on the current system that I am using. HOWEVER... I need to test it on the i386 platform to ensure that it is not happening there, either. I am currently using an AMD64 system. There should be no change in behavior between the two platforms, but just in case, I will let you know sometime in the next 24 hours on that. I was able to use OpenOffice.org 2.1 from the web site, on a Windows PC, to export the document to Microsoft Word without error. I tried installing the debug symbols so that I could attempt to get a better backtrace, and then start up OpenOffice.org like you show. It took me a few attempts, but I was finally successful in getting a backtrace with partial debug symbols. Perhaps this will provide some insight. This is the core dump, compressed with bzip2. It is 327 MB uncompressed, but only 12 MB compressed, and my upstream bandwidth would make it very hard to upload the uncompressed version.
