[Bug 970979] Re: Chromiun freezes computer - requires hard power-off

2018-08-12 Thread Paul White
Donald and anyone else affected,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all
reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago
and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

We would like to close this bug report but before we do we are asking do
you still see a problem related to the one that was reported? Please let
us know if you do.

If we do not hear from anyone the bug report will close itself in
approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.

[Bug 970979] Re: Chromiun freezes computer - requires hard power-off

2014-05-03 Thread wgroiss
For me it's the same, but only since i updated from Ubuntu 13.10 to 14.04.
Usually it appears, when i have more tabs in the browser opened. What i can
see, is, that HDD-LED ist very busy. The only thing, what happens is, that
mouse moves sometimes a little bit. Other things do not work,
nor any keys
no STRG+ALT+BACKSPACE
no STRG+ALT+Fx
Sometimes, but seldom a ALT+F4 in browser works and closes chromium

[Bug 970979] Re: Chromiun freezes computer - requires hard power-off

2012-05-06 Thread Antec
I have the same problem with 12.04 LTS, everything works fine but then suddenly
it freezes the whole system, this has only happened when I used Chromium. The
only way to get out is to either hard reboot or start a new instance with CLRL
+ alt + f1 than sudo reboot. Chromium appears to lock the entire system you are
logged into, and it happens both with and without flash in use.
