I've tried to install the kernel packages several times, but with no luck. Althoug they seem to be just fine, they do not appear in grub when I reboot. I just have the option to launch the 3.4 kernel. I've been using 3.4rc5 for a couple of days and I've experienced no X hangs, but today I just had another screen corruption. Today everything is working OK. I've experienced a kernel Ops, but I guess that it should be unrelated. I've seen that a fix has been released. I can confirm upstream comment #11. @Jose Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel? Refer to https://wiki.ubuntu.com/KernelMainlineBuilds . Please test the latest v3.4kernel[1] (Not a kernel in the daily directory). Once you've tested the upstream kernel, please remove the 'needs-upstream-testing' tag(Only that one tag, please leave the other tags). This can be done by clicking on the yellow pencil icon next to the tag located at the bottom of the bug description and deleting the 'needs-upstream-testing' text. The next time we attempt to wait upon the buffer (after userspace handles the signal), we believe that the buffer is idle and so skip the wait.
