Public bug reported:

I did a fresh install of lubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit on my Sony VAIO
YB3V1E/S with AMD E-450.

I cannot make xscreensaver turn off the lcd even when i check "quick
power off in blank only mode". I am using blank only mode.

my workaround is to have a perl script that watches the output of
xscreensaver-command -watch and uses either vbetool or xset to turn the
lcd off when the screen blanks and back on when it unblanks.

** Affects: xscreensaver (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
