Thanks for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. In the development cycle for Intrepid there have been some vast
improvements in the open source ati video driver and we could use your
help testing them. Could you please download the latest Alpha CD image
of Intrepid and test this particular bug just using the Live CD? You
can find the latest image at http://www.ubuntu.com/testing . Your
testing can help make Ubuntu and the open source ati driver even better!

Bug description:
Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-ati
PC with ubuntu 8,04 installed freezes with screen resolution 1792x1344 using
compiz 3-4 times a day, and almost instantly (after 3-5 seconds) when
running screensaver solarwinds, it frizes only with one type of solarwinds -
see attachment (Im not sure is it type of solarwind because I tooked that
screenshot on 1600x1200 resolution because I cant take scrsht on 1792x1344
resolution because it freezes instantly).
With resolution 1600x1200 there is no problems.
Attachment is reduced to 20% of size.
