Re: [Bug 89660] Re: cursor control regression in vim
Hi Brian, I tried these keystrokes on vt1, and they aren't bound to anything, either on the command line or in Vim. One thing to note is that this behavior works fine in the terminal (Gnome Terminal) itself; if you type a few words in to the terminal and use these keystrokes, you'll notice that the cursor moves one word per stroke. Maybe it's this behavior I was previously using? Hi, Firmware upgrade doesn't help always, like not in my case. I have upgraded to the latest bios version A3 on latitude D420 and can confirm that the problem hasn't disappeared by BIOS upgrade. It doesn't happen very often in my use, but it has happened once, therefore the problem remains. I'm using a Dell Latitude D820 and with the latest firmware I did not run into this problem in the last months. I even did a extreme-rebooting-test as I did to confirm the reproducability of the bug and it worked fine. [Bug 90801] moving desktop icons on kde
Public bug reported: Using kubuntu 6.10 and kde 3.5.6. Desktop resolution is 1280x1024. Description : I have 5 icons on my desktop : /, dvd drive, dvd writer, home, stuff (in that order). They are located on the left side of the screen, centered vertically. Icons options (right click on desktop, icons) : - Align to grid : checked - Lock in place : checked After I restart the computer, icons won't be at the same place the next time I get on the desktop. One or more icons will go up. It seems that the 'lock in place' option does not work it should. Notice that I can't move icons on the desktop with that option on however it doesn't prevent icons to move away after a restart. If I don't put them back in place they will keep going up with each reboot. Once at the top, right under my top panel, they'll start then to go right. I've seen that bug on the whole 3.5 kde serie (3.5.0, 3.5.1, 3.5.2, 3.5.3, 3.5.4, 3.5.5, 3.5.6). Screenshots : 1. Desktop with icons at the right place : http://paralis.free.fr/pics/snapshot40.png 2. [Bug 88232] Re: Package description is very out of date
I have taken the liberty to modify the control and changelog files myself. This was mostly an exercise to make me familiar with the packaging system. I changed the short description and long description in 'control' as follows: short description The award-winning Web browser from Mozilla long description Firefox 2 is now faster, more secure, and fully customizable. New powerful features have been added, among others: Web feeds, in line spell checking, integrated search capabilities, identity theft protection, and advanced tabbed browsing. The 'changelog' was changed with the following addition (using dch -i): firefox (2.0.0.2+1-0ubuntu2) feisty; urgency=low * package description updated (Closes: LP#88232) -- Cesare Tirabassi [EMAIL PROTECTED] Fri, 9 Mar 2007 09:08:04+0100 I then rebuild the source package and checked that the executable build is ok. [Bug 90773] Re: [apport] totem crashed with SIGFPE
I just discovered that it works when the Audio Output preference is set to Stereo. It crashes when it is set to 4-channel, 4.1-channel, 5.0-channel, 5.1-channel and AC3. I can get it to start the DVD in stereo and then change the audio output to 4, 4.1, 5, 5.1, AC3 but the sound is terrible in these other; it sounds like a scratched CD. -- [apport] totem crashed with SIGFPE https://launchpad.net/bugs/90773 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
