[Bug 265019] Re: nbsmtp looks for config file in the wrong place
I also discovered that nbsmtp wasn't reading my /etc/nbsmtprc file. I looked at the nbsmtprc source a bit and found this block of code at line 67 of fileconfig.c: asprintf(&local_tmp_buf,"%s/nbsmtprc",SYSCONFDIR); I'm not really sure what defines SYSCONFDIR, but a little bit of searching uncovered a few suspicious lines in the configure file: bindir='${exec_prefix}/bin' sbindir='${exec_prefix}/sbin' libexecdir='${exec_prefix}/libexec' datadir='${prefix}/share' sysconfdir='${prefix}/etc' If ${prefix} is empty then datadir=/share, but if ${prefix} is "/usr", then sysconfdir=/usr/etc. It seems like the latter case is what is happening. gnonlin: I checked https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuMainInclusionRequirements and verified that the package meets all points. It's well maintained in Debian and has no bug reports. It has a test suite which gets run during build; the only nitpick is that a failing test suite does not fail the build. It currently succeeds on all architectures, and I don't think it's worth carrying a delta just for this, but I filed it as a Debian bug report. Aside from this, the package looks fine, approved. ** Changed in: gnonlin (Ubuntu Lucid) Status: Incomplete => Fix Committed -- [MIR] pitivi https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/502897 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Maybe you can find a version of /etc/init.d/amavis that supports reload, the one in 9.10 doesn't: # reload) # echo "Reloading $DESC configuration files." # start-stop-daemon ${STOP} --signal 1 # ;; And I believe at a maximum frequency for rule updates of once daily this can't be a serious load. [Bug 431091] Re: libstdc++5 removal breaks non-ubuntu applications
What will it take to get some sort of "official" support for just the support libraries. I could care less about the compiler stuff. I've seen other compatibility libraries in the repositories before. To me an example would be libdb1-compat. Even if all that happens is having comment #17 become the official "work-around" until something better comes along, that would be nice. IMHO, the whole point of this bug report is to see what can be done to get support of 3rd party apps that rely on libstdc++5 in Ubuntu Karmic and beyond; even if this libstdc++5 would be considered depricated and have all 3rd party venders move onto newer and better things. Same issue here with normal up-to-date Karmic. I was trying to trigger a re-profiling and ran ureadahead --force-trace The memory usage increased immediately and was never released. [Bug 503710] Re: updated gtk+2.0 package has problems referring to the name of widgets loaded from a builder UI file
Marking the gtk task invalid. It appears to be a fundamental change in the code that any applications that run into this issue will just have to adjust for. ** Changed in: gtk+2.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New => Invalid -- updated gtk+2.0 package has problems referring to the name of widgets loaded from a builder UI file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503710 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 503710] Re: updated gtk+2.0 package has problems referring to the name of widgets loaded from a builder UI file
This bug was fixed in the package ubiquity - 2.1.7 --- ubiquity (2.1.7) lucid; urgency=low [ Mario Limonciello ] * Mythbuntu: Reconfigure mythbuntu-default-settings to ensure that the DefaultSession is set. * Only run hal-lock if hald is actually running due to changes in hal 0.5.14-0ubuntu2. * Widget names are no longer stored in the widget's internal name, but rather in the object data. Sync this information back to the widget's internal name. (LP: #503710) * Automatic update of included source packages: grub-installer 1.49ubuntu1. [ Evan Dandrea ] * Copy any network configuration set up by the user of the live CD to the installed system. -- Mario LimoncielloWed, 06 Jan 2010 03:37:13 -0600 ** Changed in: ubiquity (Ubuntu) Status: New => Fix Released -- updated gtk+2.0 package has problems referring to the name of widgets loaded from a builder UI file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/503710 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 494627] Re: nv driver crashing with segmentation fault in libpthread.so.0
Reopening, the crash is fixed with the patch but it turns out that the colors are all wrong (just as Aaron wrote in his mail). I don't really know why it worked well for me in my testing yesterday, but today the colors are all wrong. I think the best fix is to revert my patch and fix it in the xserver itself, I attach a patch for this. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-nv (Ubuntu Lucid) Status: Fix Released => In Progress -- nv driver crashing with segmentation fault in libpthread.so.0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
[Bug 494627] Re: nv driver crashing with segmentation fault in libpthread.so.0
This patch for xserver-core fixed the crash for me. The colors are also correct (when reverting the stub gamme_set back to NULL) because xorg uses the old-sytle colormap code in this case. ** Attachment added: "Fix crash when gamme_set in the driver is NULL" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37478080/crash_fix.patch -- nv driver crashing with segmentation fault in libpthread.so.0 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/494627 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
