[Bug 1056103] Re: no docs package / html docs
just an update: Tv was right about the use of virtualenv: sphinx has to be *built* in the presence of sphinx-ditaa and asphyxiate, not taken from an installed system package. The burden on virtualenv can still be minimised if all other deps are installed [from platform repos (ubuntu)], but not python-sphinx. It still makes for a noticeably leaner and faster docs build. I shall revisit how/where to shoehorn that in without disrupting things. Subsequently, getting a docs package to build will be detached from the main build/packages while making use of the same debian resources as much as possible (likely with symlinks), so I'm still _not_ going to force docs to be built and/or packaged along with the main build. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to ceph in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1056103 Title: no docs package / html docs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceph/+bug/1056103/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1017847] Re: qemu segfaults when creating an armhf container on an amd64 host
qemu-user-static was installed on the system when I have been able to reproduce this error (installed on 2012-06-06 from apt log files) I tried again this morning, and it works correctly. The main difference is that qemu-user-static has been upgraded from 1.0.50-2012.03-0ubuntu3 to 1.2.0-2012.09-0ubuntu1 on 2012-09-23 (~1 week after my last test) So probably *something* has been fixed in this new upstream version. In any case, I tried without qemu-user-static installed and I get the error chroot: failed to run command `useradd': Exec format error which is expected since the emulator is not installed. I don't think it make sense to run lxc for an architecture without the right emulator installed but it is another bug than the one I initially reported and it can be closed as 'fix released' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1017847 Title: qemu segfaults when creating an armhf container on an amd64 host To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1017847/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1058089] [NEW] Intel 5100 AGN (iwlwifi) hangs frequently -- intermittent operation
You have been subscribed to a public bug: When connecting to a home network, the wireless connection is established and does not drop, but package throughput works intermittently. When it is working, it works perfectly: the throughput is fast and reliable. It seems that traffic helps it. The issue is most notable on http requests. Flood pinging the router (or connecting to it) drops no packets during these breaks, but anything outside is unreachable. At the same time other computers experience no problems. These paucities in operation last from minutes to tens of minutes. Reconnecting to the wireless or rmmod/modprobing the module does not help. The usual proposed remedies (passing 11n_disable=1 and/or swcrypto=1) make no obvious difference. The most curious observations is that, during these intermittent breaks, /established/ traffic comes through. For example, an active gtalk session will remain active and fully responsive while all other traffic is interrupted. The stock iwlwifi for 12.04 (3.2.0) does not work either. Using the most recent firmware. The wireless adapter worked perfectly with the 2.6 kernel, and it still works with Mint 11. Other devices have no issue with the AP. [Bug 1060550] Re: lxc-ls with ephemeral containers reports too many containers
Thanks for reporting this bug. Is this on quantal, precise, or something else? lxc-ls reports two rows of results - the first containing all containers, the second the active ones. It looks as though your output got squashed into one column containing all results. What happens when you do lxc-ls | tail -1 ? lxc-list is generally a nicer looking (but more tedious to script around) interface for viewing lists of containers. The actual format of lxc-ls output will be discussed at the upcoming UDS, and probably changed. ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided = Medium -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1060550 Title: lxc-ls with ephemeral containers reports too many containers To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1060550/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 992075] Re: Commissioning status persists with cloud-init 0.6.3-0ubuntu1
I am having this same issue. I set up a box as a maas server and could not get any of the vm nodes on Virtual box to finish commissoning so i set up another box on a junker comp and started from scratch. Out of three tests on VB they all subscribed and after acceptance finished the enrollment (ready). One machine i ran from an XCP box stopped giving the init killed error exactly as above with one exception. after the kill message i would also get an ISOFS type unknown which told me that it could not read or mount the iso image. so i fired up the original maas server and the test machine took right off and finished the process after restarting . Could these errors be that after the ram disk is loaded that the install media isnt getting mounted because it is unreadable for whatever reason so the whole process just times out ? at least in my case that seemed to be the problem with the one node. One other point on the XCP box even when i tried to load a system with the physical dvd when ubuntu got to the discover and mount dvd portion of the install I got the same error --installation failed could not mount cd . which makes me wonder if there could be a problem with the installer image when using hypervisors. the xcp box runs 4 vm's all day long and has never had a problem installing from cd or dvd even when installing from an iso SR . The ubuntu server/maas wouldnt install at all SR or DVD or automatically from the 2nd maas server -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to maas in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/992075 Title: Commissioning status persists with cloud-init 0.6.3-0ubuntu1 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/maas/+bug/992075/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1061166] Re: ec2 instance IDs are broken after folsom upgrade
After taking another look at this, EC2 instance IDs appear to change during an upgrade. Did an upgrade with two running instances, i-0003 and i-0004. After upgrade, they show change to i-0003 and i-0004, respecively. Any EC2 action (terminate, get-console-output, etc) on these new IDs fail with InstanceNotFound. AFAICS: In essex, these IDs appear mapped to IDs and UUIDs in the instances table: mysql select id, uuid from instances where id=3 or id=4; ++--+ | id | uuid | ++--+ | 3 | 7ca30bdc-46f3-4a2d-a0fb-f7657d60e8a8 | | 4 | bf7ecf97-0814-4b5e-b5f1-4a7cecd8a43f | ++--+ 2 rows in set (0.00 sec) In Folsom, much has been converted to use UUIDs instead. the EC2 describe instances call gets a list of instances, and queries the instance_id_mappings for the corresponding instance ID (which will later get converted to an ec2 ID). However, after upgrade this table has duplicate entries for these instances, causing later queries on these instances to yield a new, incorrect ID. mysql select * from instance_id_mappings where uuid='bf7ecf97-0814-4b5e-b5f1-4a7cecd8a43f' or uuid='7ca30bdc-46f3-4a2d-a0fb-f7657d60e8a8'; +-+++-++--+ | created_at | updated_at | deleted_at | deleted | id | uuid | +-+++-++--+ | NULL| NULL | NULL |NULL | 3 | 7ca30bdc-46f3-4a2d-a0fb-f7657d60e8a8 | | NULL| NULL | NULL |NULL | 4 | bf7ecf97-0814-4b5e-b5f1-4a7cecd8a43f | | 2012-10-04 01:50:23 | NULL | NULL | 0 | 5 | 7ca30bdc-46f3-4a2d-a0fb-f7657d60e8a8 | | 2012-10-04 01:50:23 | NULL | NULL | 0 | 6 | bf7ecf97-0814-4b5e-b5f1-4a7cecd8a43f | +-+++-++--+ This can be worked around by change the EC2 layer to convert all incoming IDs to UUIDs, but the issue of instance IDs changing during a migration to Folsom is critical and needs to be resolved as an upgrade issue. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to nova in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1061166 Title: ec2 instance IDs are broken after folsom upgrade To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1061166/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

-- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1056103 Title: no docs package / html docs To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/ceph/+bug/1056103/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 957843] Re: files in eCryptFS Private directory get corrupted
This has been tracked in various other bugs and is fixed in recent kernels. Sorry for the confusion of this bug not being marked as a dupe of one of the others. There were a few specific bugs that culminated into the broader problem reported in this bug. The way eCryptfs handled full disk situations and opening lower files that didn't contain the proper eCryptfs metadata has changed over the course of time but here are the relevant patches that have went upstream to address the issues mentioned in this bug report: 821f749 eCryptfs: Revert to a writethrough cache model e3ccaa9 eCryptfs: Initialize empty lower files when opening them 8bc2d3c eCryptfs: Unlink lower inode when ecryptfs_create() fails For Ubuntu users, these fixes have all been picked up in the 12.04 LTS kernels. ** Changed in: ecryptfs Importance: Undecided = High ** Changed in: ecryptfs Status: New = Fix Released ** Changed in: ecryptfs-utils (Ubuntu) Status: Confirmed = Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/957843 Title: files in eCryptFS Private directory get corrupted To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ecryptfs/+bug/957843/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
