Re: [Bug 751605] Re: Multi-monitor - Windows maximize on the wrong monitor
Here is a way to reproduce it 100% of the time. 1. Have the bigger monitor on the left, and have a window there that is bigger in at least one dimension than the second monitor on the right. 2. Drag the window to the second monitor, and either first drop it there, and then maximize it (by pushing the window border against the panel (a correct maximize outline is shown), and let go, or by still dragging the window push it against the panel (still showing the right maximize outline. 3. Release the mouse button. The window should now be maximized on the smaller right monitor, but in fact it maximized on the larger left monitor instead. [Bug 1078213] [NEW] juju-machine-agent.log is not logrotated
Public bug reported: I've been running a small juju cluster for a week now. There were some connection issues in the data center I'm using and juju had issues connecting to zookeeper. [Bug 1078102] Re: /etc/ldap/ldap.conf missing
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It is certainly confusing that PAM uses /etc/ldap.conf whereas openldap uses /etc/ldap/ldap.conf. But it isn't clear to me that these two files are actually of the same format, or that it is guaranteed that one is a superset of the other. The pam_ldap(5) manpage says: pam_ldap stores its configuration in the ldap.conf file. (It should be noted that some LDAP client libraries, such as OpenLDAP, also use a configuration file of the same name. pam_ldap supports many of the same configuration file options as OpenLDAP, but it adds several that are specific to the functionality it provides. It is not guaranteed that pam_ldap will continue to match the configura‐ tion file semantics of OpenLDAP. You may wish to use different files.) I think that doing something such as your symlink would have unintended consequences, so I'm not sure that a fix for the general case is trivial. And any change would best be coordinated with Debian. ** Package changed: openldap (Ubuntu) => libpam-ldap (Ubuntu) ** Changed in: libpam-ldap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: libpam-ldap (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged ** Summary changed: - /etc/ldap/ldap.conf missing + libpam-ldap should share openldap's configuration file ** Summary changed: - libpam-ldap should share openldap's configuration file + libpam-ldap should share openldap's configuration mechanism ** Also affects: openldap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided => Medium ** Changed in: openldap (Ubuntu) Status: New => Triaged -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1078102 Title: libpam-ldap should share openldap's configuration mechanism To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libpam-ldap/+bug/1078102/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Re: [Bug 1063791] Re: ubuntu kernels < 3.7 do not include DISCARD/TRIM (FITRIM ioctl) for JFS filesystem
Hello Brad & Joseph, I had a conversation with Tino Reichardt who wrote the TRIM parts of the patch. Dave Kleikamp did not answer, maybe I choose the wrong e-mail adress or because he went from Big Blue to Oracle? Tino will support me to get the patch upstream, but he is "a small light" (and I'm a nobody) on LKML, and he does not have the time for the all the e-mails that need to be written and answered; but I want to try to do that. Do you have contact with the maintainers of the stable Linux versions (and give support)? Can you provide a test environment for the stable Linux kernels when I send you git-patches against bare Linux 2.6.34, 2.6.35, 3.0, 3.2, 3.4, 3.5 and 3.6 (i.e. a system with a SSD, maybe ssh access)? I can only reliably test my version 3.2.28, and to be honest I'm running JFS because it's rock-solid and do not want to gamble on my system... I could test in a virtual box, but that's probably not sufficient? Up to now I do not use disk quotas, that's the part that needs testing besides usual stability tests. Is there a test suite I shall use? Thanx in advance, =|o) P.S. The patch is running on my system for weeks now very smooth and stable :) Am Dienstag, 9. [Bug 1046762] Re: rpc.gssd crashes in gss_pipe_downcall
Yes, sorry for the delay in testing. I can confirm that such a workaround does not trigger the crash and we are using it from now on. [Bug 1041137] Re: Activating suspend from power button menu does not work
For the record, this can be triggered without the power button with gdbus call -e -d org.gnome.SessionManager -o /org/gnome/SessionManager -m org.gnome.SessionManager.Shutdown That's easier to do in tests. [Bug 1032251] Re: EOG hangs in Ubuntu 12.04
Is there any other option for me to help in troubleshooting this bug? (See my previous comment #6) May I use an older kernel, which does not require the"pae" feature, with the 12.10 daily live image? If yes, which kernel should I choose? I would be happy to have this bug solved (and to help in solving it), because my old hardware works fine with Ubuntu with this only drawback, and I think that one of the best advantages of Linux is to run fine on old hardware. ** Changed in: xserver-xorg-video-intel (Ubuntu) Status: Expired => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1032251 Title: EOG hangs in Ubuntu 12.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-intel/+bug/1032251/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 993440] Re: No suspend option for critical battery state in power settings UI
I see now that it fails to suspend after all. The patch i've committed does add the option to suspend, and gnome-control-center correctly updates the setting in dconf. The critical power level notification also tells that the machine is going to "suspend very soon". But the machine shuts down instead of suspending. It seems this is related to bug #160200, and the underlaying issue is probably in acpi. As for now, all other options than "shut down" seems useless. ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Status: In Progress => Confirmed ** Changed in: gnome-control-center (Ubuntu) Assignee: Joakim Langvand (jlangvand) => (unassigned) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/993440 Title: No suspend option for critical battery state in power settings UI To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gnome-control-center/+bug/993440/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
