[Bug 1369481] [NEW] The trusty machine type should stick to the 2.0 version
Public bug reported: If I understand correctly, the pc-i440fx-trusty machine type introduced by bug #1294823 is meant to solve migration problems, by using a default which stay the same between versions. Unfortunately the patch was written by pointing to the pc default machine type, so is 2.1 in the utopic packaging version. It seems the intent of the machine type is to stay stable over time, so it would make sense to me if the patch was fixed in the utopic version to point to the 2.0 machine type, instead of the default. ** Affects: qemu (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369481 Title: The trusty machine type should stick to the 2.0 version To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qemu/+bug/1369481/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
[Bug 1333388] Re: mod_ident no longer included in apache
Yes, we did talk on IRC :-) As far as I can tell, utopic 2.4.10-1ubuntu1 does not build modident (still). I suspect what might have been fixed in the debian bug my report got merged into (https://bugs.debian.org/cgi- bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=711925) is the constant removal of any module called modident wherever you load it from. [Bug 1369406] [NEW] Boot hangs with kernel 3.13.0-32 and newer
Public bug reported: Trusty 14.04. Ubuntu 3.13.0-35.62-generic 3.13.11.6 Last kernel I could reliably boot was 3.13.0-31, which I have saved a copy of so I can get booted in emergencies. Newer kernels hang part way through the boot process. I boot into grub, I hit return for the default kernel, for a while get blank screen with backlight lit, then backlight goes out, then total hangup. The only way to repair is to hold the power key to force shutdown, then hit it again for another startup attempt. It takes an average of four forced shutdowns and reboot attempts to finally get a good boot. I have reinstalled grub several times -- it's not a grub issue. It seems like a race condition having to do with the video hardware and driver. You probably have that info in the collected data, but the cpu is AMD A10-5750M with video hardware Radeon HD 8650G. I'm using the latest proprietary video driver from fglrx-updates. (The X-org driver has never worked on this machine...). Reverting to the standard fglrx driver (from flgrx) makes no difference. I hope you can figure this one out. If not I'm soon going to have to just stick with kernel 3.12.0-31. Let me know if there's other info I can provide. ~$ sudo lspci -vnvn 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [Bug 1369424] [NEW] LibreOffice windows and dialogs do not receive focus on startup (KDE, Razorqt)
Public bug reported: I hope I've got the correct package to log this against. Symptom: LibreOffice dialogs (such as password prompts, plaintext/csv imports etc) do not receive WM focus if a LibreOffice app is running and minimised. This causes a fairly severe usability issue, where it seems like LibreOffice has crashed, since nothing seems to happen when you click (and continue to click) to open a file that requires user action on a dialog. I've replicated the issue in KDE and RazorQT which is why I'm logging it against this qt-x11 package. It affects 12.04 and 14.04 (tested, I imagine there are more) The issue does not occur in Unity or Gnome. I made two videos - based on: Ubuntu 12.04, bog standard install. Add kde via: sudo apt-get install kubuntu-desktop add this ppa: https://launchpad.net/~libreoffice/+archive/ubuntu/libreoffice-4-3 upgrade all libreoffice packages to 4.3.0.4: sudo apt-get install $(dpkg -l | grep libreoffice | awk '{print $2}') Video 1: Unity Desktop, expected (correct) behaviour https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxhtBAYzjZj5V1V1NjRTRVRKZ0E/edit?usp=sharing Video 2: Logged out of Unity, logged into KDE Desktop - unexpected behaviour, as described by this bug: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxhtBAYzjZj5ODZ2RG1GZHZtUEE/edit?usp=sharing ** Affects: qt4-x11 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: libreoffice -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1369424 Title: LibreOffice windows and dialogs do not receive focus on startup (KDE, Razorqt) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/qt4-x11/+bug/1369424/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1366018] Re: Not clear in Wi-Fi settings whether you are connected
(Removing Desired resolution that has nothing at all to do with this bug.) ** Description changed: Ubuntu 14.10 r22 1. Go somewhere that many Wi-Fi networks are nearby. 2. Navigate to System Settings Wi-Fi. 3. Try to tell whether you are connected. What happens: The network you are connected to might be so far down the list that it's off-screen. What should happen: The network you are connected to is always at the top. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Networking#wi-fi-phone: Whenever Wi-Fi is on and a network *is* connected, 'Available networks:' should instead be 'Other available networks:', because it should be preceded by a 'Connected to:' section listing the connected network. - - --- - Desired resolution: - - - All types of notifications should be dismissable -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1366018 Title: Not clear in Wi-Fi settings whether you are connected To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-network/+bug/1366018/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
