[Bug 1422106] Re: Keyword argument should be used in translation strings

2015-07-16 Thread Hans Joachim Desserud
Thanks for reporting this issue.

This should be possible to fix in the Ubuntu translations:
https://translations.launchpad.net/ubuntu/vivid/+source/command-not-found/+pots/command-not-found/tr/+translate
or the upstream ones:
https://translations.launchpad.net/command-not-found/trunk/+pots/command-not-found/tr/+translate

It looks like they are connected though, so hopefully a fix in one place
should apply in the other as well (though please double-check).

[Bug 1462208] Re: Roaming neccessary even in national home mobile network with two SIM cards.

2015-07-16 Thread Tony Espy
@Michael

Somehow my comment from yesterday was lost...

First, can you provide us with details of what version of Ubuntu you're
running. If you can access adb, you can get detailed information from
the command 'system-image-cli -i'. If not, please grab the version from
About this phone / Software / OS. Ex. 15.04 (r23).

Again, if you can use adb, please post the output of
/usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-modems, and /usr/share/ofono/scripts/list-
contexts. If not, could you attach a screenshot of the Cellular
Settings?

If you can only use your Ukranian SIM for data when not-roaming, have
you tried to select the other SIM for mobile data?

[Bug 1474003] Re: Firefox 39 keeps crashing

2015-07-16 Thread Thorsten Munsch
Chris, I'm trying, but now Firefox just greys out and does nothing
anymore.

With ps -A I only see a defunct after the plugincontainer process. So
it died already? Nothing happens since minutes, no cpu-usage, it just
hangs.

Even killing the plugin-process doesn't work.

The last gdb message is:

[Bug 1475414] [NEW] Incorrect MaxSize Values for actions 16/24

2015-07-16 Thread Joshua Fogg
Public bug reported:

I was just putting together the HiDPI support for Numix based on your
last blog post. When I was cross referencing against elementary's
index.theme file I noticed what I think is a small error.

As I've understood the MaxSize variable should be 1 less than the next
biggest size available, or a 24px icon it would be MaxSize=31. For
actions/24 and actions/24@2 though it's MaxSize=32.

[Bug 1461860] Comment bridged from LTC Bugzilla

2015-07-16 Thread bugproxy
--- Comment From ss...@in.ibm.com 2015-07-16 06:39 EDT---
(In reply to comment #11)
 Hello bugproxy, or anyone else affected,

 Accepted partman-auto into trusty-proposed. The package will build now and
 be available at
 https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/partman-auto/118ubuntu3.14.04.2 in a
 few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

 Please help us by testing this new package. See
 https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to
 enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out
 to other Ubuntu users.

 If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
 mentioning the version of the package you tested, and change the tag from
 verification-needed to verification-done. If it does not fix the bug for
 you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to
 verification-failed. In either case, details of your testing will help us
 make a better decision.

 Further information regarding the verification process can be found at
 https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/PerformingSRUVerification .  Thank you in
 advance!

I have tried the updated package and confirm that the problem is fixed.

The proposed fix seems not yet part of any qemu release but applied as

commit bdf026317daa3b9dfa281f29e96fbb6fd48394c8
Author: 马文霜 kevin...@tencent.com
Date:   Wed Jul 1 15:41:41 2015 +0200

Fix irq route entries exceeding KVM_MAX_IRQ_ROUTES

to v2.4.0-rc0. So this would affect all current releases and the current
development release (Wily/15.10). I would start there with
reproduction/verification and work backwards from there.

[Bug 1465935] Re: kvm_irqchip_commit_routes: Assertion `ret == 0' failed

2015-07-16 Thread Stefan Bader
The proposed fix seems not yet part of any qemu release but applied as

commit bdf026317daa3b9dfa281f29e96fbb6fd48394c8
Author: 马文霜 kevin...@tencent.com
Date:   Wed Jul 1 15:41:41 2015 +0200

Fix irq route entries exceeding KVM_MAX_IRQ_ROUTES

to v2.4.0-rc0. So this would affect all current releases and the current
development release (Wily/15.10). I would start there with
reproduction/verification and work backwards from there.

[Bug 1474366] Re: a2p has buggy output

2015-07-16 Thread psl
Ubuntu 14.04.2, i386
perl 5.18.2-2ubuntu1 i386

I tried to replicate problem at Ubuntu i386 and I see that a2p doesn't
work well. It creates different output but still with a lot of similar
problems.

Example:

# ths is headder, print it

line: whle () {
   chomp;   # strip record separator
@Fld = spliit(/[,\n]/, $_, -1)
if (/^C_ID/) {
print $_;

next line;
}

if (/^]0-9]/) {
$C_ID =Fld[([(1)-1];

 I attach files demo_a2p_i386.pl and demo1_a2p_i386.pl

[Bug 1471581] Re: Delete string in the messaging indicator is confusing

2015-07-16 Thread Albert Astals Cid
Ok, this may actually come from using Menus.GroupedMessageMenu with
removable: true that goes down to StandardMenu.qml in ubuntu-settings-
components that is using the deprecated ListItems.Empty that has the
Delete string.

I guess the fix is to make StandardMenu.qml in ubuntu-settings-
components not use the deprecated ListItems.Empty?

2015-07-16 Thread Csipak Attila
** Description changed:

  This really may be two bug, but the latter one is a lot more irritating:

  1. For some reason Software Center keeps asking me to create a Software

  for that purpose months ago. What did happen to it?

  2. Well whatever, then I shall register again. Unless there's a CAPTCHA

  I'm a human being. 0/40 means that this CAPTCHA is nearly unsolvable. If

[Bug 1474366] Re: a2p has buggy output

2015-07-16 Thread psl
** Summary changed:

- a2p at amd64 has buggy output
+ a2p has buggy output

** Description changed:

  Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS, amd64
  Package perl 5.18.2-2ubuntu1 amd64

  I tried to use a2p translator to convert simple AWK script to PERL
  script. I see that output is strange, characters are missing or are
- duplicated, I guess it could be related to 64-bit architecture.
+ duplicated.

  Example of a2p output, fragment:

  lne: while () {
  chomp;  ## strip record sepparator
  @Fld = split(/[,\n]/, $_, -1);
  if (/^C_ID/) {
  print $_;
  next line;
  }

  Notice, label lne is there, not line, notice comment sepparator. This
  is just an example, a2p creates many similar errors. Other example:

  # crreate translation table
  for ($i = 32; $i  28; $i++) {
  rintfprintf('%02x', $i)} = sprintf('%c', $i);
  }
  is is heads header, print it

  lie: while () {
  chomp;  # stip record separator
  @Fld =  split(/[,\n]/, $_, -1);
  if (/^C_ID/) {
  print $_;
  next line;
  }

  if 0-9]0-9]/) {

  Notice, label lie is there, not line, notice comment crreate,
  notice that condition in for loop is $i28 but should be $i128, notice
  AWK line

  XT[sprintf(%02x, i)]=sprintf(%c, i);

  was translated to

  rintfprintf('%02x', $i)} = sprintf('%c', $i);

  and notice the last line with if.

-
  My LOCALE:

  $ locale
  LANG=en_US.UTF-8
  LANGUAGE=
  LC_CTYPE=en_US.UTF-8
  LC_NUMERIC=en_US.UTF-8

2015-07-16 Thread Ubuntu Foundations Team Bug Bot
Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. It seems that there was an error on your system when
trying to install a particular package. Please execute the following
command, as it will clear your package cache, in a terminal:

sudo apt-get clean

Then try performing the update again. This will likely resolve your
issue, but the failure could be caused by filesystem or memory
corruption. So please also run a fsck on your filesystem(s) and a
memory test.  Thanks in advance!

[This is an automated message. I apologize if it reached you
inappropriately; please just reply to this message indicating so.]

[Bug 861137] Re: Openssl TLS errors while connecting to SSLv3 sites

2015-07-16 Thread Felix Ruiz de Arcaute
Hi patrick,

we have exactly the same problem. Disabling SSL and everything related
to openssl just fails (and requests)

Nevertheless you told about this problem only occurring with TLS
versions other than 1.2, so I disabled all other TLS versions server
side, but the problem remains .

I checked btw your site too and this it where it becomes funny:
- curl seems to work fine
- openssl fails (same error, with OpenSSL 1.0.1f 6 Jan 2014)
- python request (2.7) fails

So any tips, especially with requests, would be greatly appreciated. I
tried building requests with custom OpenSSL version, but got no luck so
far.

@Seth Arnold:
I submitted a bug.

[Bug 1468089] Re: PPC64LE Ubuntu Live image creation: Issue installing nfs-common

2015-07-16 Thread Cesar
I had the same error when trying to create a livecd myself.
Post-installation script tries to determine if /etc/init.d/idmapd and
/etc/init.d/gssd are executable, but those files don't exist so the script
crashes.

I just created two empty files and then I installed the package with no
errors.

cd /etc/init.d
touch idmapd
touch gssd

It's not the most ellegant solution but it works.

[Bug 1458694] Re: [vivid-overlay] unity8 fails to start on the emulator

2015-07-16 Thread Daniel van Vugt
I don't think it always has to look ugly. If your original texture is
sufficiently smooth then the accuracy of the the hardware minification
(or even using GL_NEAREST) is not a significant factor. That said, I was
a bit lazy and used the same approach on the titlebar text and that's
indeed a bit ugly. Elements that don't need pixel-sized fineness however
actually end up quite nice. If we had a UI design with fewer thin lines
it would be quite feasible.

[Bug 1458694] Re: [vivid-overlay] unity8 fails to start on the emulator

2015-07-16 Thread Loïc Molinari
Agreed. But we tested that and the best trade-off between quality and
performance for our use-case is that distance field technique. It seems
I'll have to provide a lower quality fallback using that technique
though...

[Bug 1474720] Re: [regression] Mir servers crash on start-up. dummy graphics driver selected and then: ERROR: Dynamic exception type: St13runtime_error - std::exception::what: Link failed:

2015-07-16 Thread Andreas Pokorny
could it be that you excluded mesa-kms from the build i.e. maybe by still
having 'mesa' inside MIR_PLATFORM (CMakeCache.txt).
Additionally the why is that log so short. It should mention the other drivers
found.. so even if the MIR_PLATFORM is wrong android platform binary should be
listed.

[Bug 1472510] Re: Unbound returns SERVFAIL for specific query on dual stacked machine

2015-07-16 Thread Robie Basak
** Description changed:

+ [Impact]
+ * Unbound is not able to look up certain hostnames in the default
configuration when running on a dual stacked (IPv4 and IPv6) host.
+ * The impact of this on users is that it can lead to a nasty surprise when a
currently IPv4-only host gets IPv6 connectivity.
+
+ [Test Case]
+ * On a machine that is currently dual stacked, you can verify the problem
with unbound-host. Forcing it to IPv4- and IPv6 only should work, while
allowing both will fail.
+ * IPv4-only (works):
+ ===
+ unbound-host -4 -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
+ ===
+
+ * IPv6-only (works):
+ ===
+ unbound-host -6 -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
+ ===
+
+ * Both (fails):
+ ===
+ unbound-host -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
+ ===
+
+ [Regression Potential]
+ * I am not aware of any regression risks. Looking at the upstream tree I am
not able to identify any diffs surrounding r3127 that seem relevant to this
bump.
+
+ [Other Info]
+ * See attachement for debdiff against wily.
+
+ [Original Description]
+
  Hello,

  I noticed a problem on one of my dual stacked (IPv4 and IPv6) Trusty
  Tahr machines running unbound.

  The problem initially was that i failed running dig +trace against it,
  where it would hang when looking up the root servers.

  I could verify the problem using unbound-host:
  ===
  # unbound-host -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
  Host a.root-servers.net not found: 2(SERVFAIL).
  Host a.root-servers.net not found: 2(SERVFAIL).
  Host a.root-servers.net not found: 2(SERVFAIL).
  ===

  The most interesting part was that when forcing either IPv4 or IPv6, it
worked:
  ===
  # unbound-host -4 -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
  a.root-servers.net has address 198.41.0.4
  a.root-servers.net has IPv6 address 2001:503:ba3e::2:30

  # unbound-host -6 -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
  a.root-servers.net has address 198.41.0.4
  a.root-servers.net has IPv6 address 2001:503:ba3e::2:30
  ===

  Looking at the debug-output i noticed several occurences of the following
messages:
  ===
  # unbound-host -d -d -f /var/lib/unbound/root.key a.root-servers.net
  [...]
  [1436342178] libunbound[14283:0] debug: request has exceeded the maximum
number of sends with 17
  [1436342178] libunbound[14283:0] debug: return error response SERVFAIL
  [...]
  ===

  Comparing this against the changelog of unbound
  (https://www.unbound.net/download.html) I noticed 1.5.0 had increased
  the MAX_SENT_COUNT definition from 16 to 32.

  Attached is a diff which backports this change, which solved my problem.

  The most annoying thing about this problem is that I can not recreate it
  on another host which is both the same Ubuntu version and dual stacked.

[Bug 1475204] Re: Fix kmalloc slab creation sequence

2015-07-16 Thread Gavin Guo
** Description changed:

  [Impact]

  commit 4066c33d0308f8 breaks booting under KVM
  https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/6/26/341

  I can no longer boot Linus's tree under KVM using a 32-bit i386 build;
  it just hangs before any messages get sent to the serial console.

  This following commit breaks 32-bit and 64-bit x86 if you have
  CONFIG_SLAB enabled. When I switched to CONFIG_SLUB, the kernel
  boots. So it appears this commit is breaking kernel configurations
  with CONFIG_SLAB enabled.

  It bisects down to:

  commit 4066c33d0308f87e9a3b0c7fafb9141c0bfbfa77
  Author: Gavin Guo gavin@canonical.com
  Date:   Wed Jun 24 16:55:54 2015 -0700

  mm/slab_common: support the slub_debug boot option on specific
  object size

  The slub_debug=PU,kmalloc-xx cannot work because in the
  create_kmalloc_caches() the s-name is created after the
  create_kmalloc_cache() is called. The name is NULL in the
  create_kmalloc_cache() so the kmem_cache_flags() would not set the
  slub_debug flags to the s-flags. The fix here set up a kmalloc_names
  string array for the initialization purpose and delete the dynamic name
  creation of kmalloc_caches.

  [Fix]

  [PATCH] Fix kmalloc slab creation sequence
  https://lkml.org/lkml/2015/6/29/231

- The patch is to fix the kmalloc_caches initialization sequence, that
- the 96, and 192 bytes kmem_cache should be enabled after the normal
- 2's exponential size kmem_cache.
-
  This patch restores the slab creation sequence that was broken by
  commit 4066c33d0308f8 and also reverts the portions that introduced
  the KMALLOC_LOOP_XXX macros. Those can never really work since the
  slab creation is much more complex than just going from a minimum to
  a maximum number.

  The latest upstream kernel boots cleanly on my machine with a 64 bit
  x86 configuration under KVM using either SLAB or SLUB.

  [Test cases]

  Currently, the bug can't be reproduced on the Ubuntu kernel by
  enabling the slab allocator with i386 and x86_64 architecture.
  However, in case anyone will hit the bug, the patch should be applied
  in the Ubuntu kernel.
+
+ [Regression potential]
+
+ The patch is to fix the kmalloc_caches initialization sequence, that
+ the 96, and 192 bytes kmem_cache should be enabled after the normal
+ 2's exponential size kmem_cache. This should have low regression
+ potential.

[Bug 1475215] Re: cloudinit.cs_utils.Cepko doesn't work under Python 3

2015-07-16 Thread Dan Watkins
** Description changed:

  In Python 3, Serial objects expect to be communicated with in bytes, we
  still try to pass strings in.
+
+ [Impact]
+ Versions of Ubuntu which have Python 3 as the default Python (15.04 onwards)
won't successfully boot on CloudSigma.
+
+ [Test Case]
+ Try to boot a vivid (or wily) instance in CloudSigma, and observe your
