[Bug 1795453] WifiSyslog.txt

2018-10-15 Thread Sasikumar
apport information

** Attachment added: "WifiSyslog.txt"

https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1795453/+attachment/5201328/+files/WifiSyslog.txt

** Description changed:

  We have observed that OS is sending the IO's (SCSI Read/Write) with incorrect
Scatter Gather Buffer address .

  i.e

   OS is sending the IO with 64 bit Scatter Gather Buffer address , such
  that if we add the length with buffer address then it causes the roll
  over .

  Here is the data we captured in our driver (Printed the SGE details which was
sent by OS)

  sgl_ptr->Address = f000
  [14547.313240]
  sgl_ptr->Length = 1000
  [14547.313241]
  sge_count = 18
  [14547.313242]
  cmd->index = 9d9

  Note : This issue is observed only when virtualization is enabled

  Product : Broadcom (LSI) Megaraid H840 controller

[Bug 1797997] [NEW] kernel BUG at "/build/linux-lts-xenial-UweaL0/linux-lts-xenial-4.4.0/arch/x86/kvm/mmu.c:1366!"

2018-10-15 Thread LE QUANG LONG
Public bug reported:

My OpenStack system have just an accident of crash one compute host.

Compute host information:
$ lsb_release -rd
Description:Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS
Release:14.04

$ uname -a
Linux compute2.hn.vnpt 4.4.0-62-generic #83~14.04.1-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jan 18
18:10:30 UTC 2017 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

When I checked syslog in this compute, I found this log as issue happened. This
log begins with:
"kernel BUG at
/build/linux-lts-xenial-UweaL0/linux-lts-xenial-4.4.0/arch/x86/kvm/mmu.c:1366!
Oct 15 14:10:13 compute2 kernel: [12845630.282893] invalid opcode:  [#1]
SMP "

And after that, CPUs stuck in turn.

Could it be a bug in kernel of Ubuntu 14.04.5??

[Bug 1767654] Re: Cursor gets stuck on left side of the screen

2018-10-15 Thread Daniel van Vugt
Thanks. Next please try:

1. Logging into "Ubuntu on Wayland" and see if the problem persists.

2. Live booting Ubuntu 18.10 and see if the problem persists there too:

Mathieu,

Please paste an example of the errors you see in 18.10 so we can verify
it's the same bug.

[Bug 1798009] [NEW] Snap permissions shown in incorrect state when Polkit dialog cancelled

2018-10-15 Thread Robert Ancell
Public bug reported:

[Impact]
Cancelling a polkit dialog when changing Snap permissions leaves the toggles in
the incorrect state. The correct state is shown after restart.

[Test Case]
1. Open GNOME Software
2. Select an installed snap with permissions (e.g. Spotify)
3. Change a permission (e.g. Read system mount information and disk quotas)
4. Cancel the polkit dialog that pops up

Expected result:
The permission is shown in the initial state (off here)

Observed result:
The permission is show in the requested state (on here).

[Regression Potential]
TBD - fill out when solution found.
