What it does /not/ do is change which compiler we actually use - we
build with the default Ubuntu gcc. Rather, GCC49, GCC5, CLANG35, etc
are toolchain templates. The build system uses templates to tweak
parameters to suit the toolchain in-use. In the GCC5 recipe, upstream
started taking advantage of link-time optimization. But doing so
required adding some "glue binaries" to the source tree:

https://github.com/tianocore/edk2/commit/e1458aaded8e34b0c74c1a17ac1dc3765d97c082

We strip those binaries out, so we need to disable LTO, and specifying
the GCC49 template is an easy way to accomplish that.

[Bug 1825499] Re: Touchpad vertical sensitivity is much higher than horizontal sensitivity [HP Pavilion g6]

2019-07-11 Thread Joan Rodríguez Bellido
Hi.

I have the same problem. It has appeared after updating to 19.04.

HP Pavilion model G6-2264sa

# 7 - I'm also using Ubuntu vanilla and Gnome Shell

# 8 - Using kernel 4.18.20 does not solve the problem.

Uninstalling xserver-xorg-input-libinput and installing xserver-xorg-

[Bug 1778087] Re: ELAN1200 touchpad jumps around and disconnects

2019-07-11 Thread Tetrix
I think the issue is the same as the others above so there is no point in
opening another one.
dmesg | grep ELAN returns:

i2c_hid i2c-ELAN1200:00: i2c_hid_get_input: incomplete report (16/65535)

just like in the case of the OP.

Also it might be helpful to mention that reloading the driver unfreezes the
touchpad.
I am doing that with the following commands:

modprobe -r hid-multitouch
modprobe hid-multitouch

Also it is worth mentioning the this issue is not just Ubuntu related
and it happens on other distros.

[Bug 1836216] Re: libsane-extras not in Ubuntu 19.04

2019-07-11 Thread Paul White
This package was intentionally removed from disco on 2018-11-09, i.e.
during its development period, due to it being outdated, obsolete and
unmaintained. It was also removed from Debian around this date.

See Debian bug: https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-
bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=907796.

The non-availability of this package in Ubuntu 19.04 and later releases
is therefore not a bug.

[Bug 1836236] Re: 9.4ubuntu4.9: Broken package because of missing "#" @ /var/lib/dpkg/info/base-files.postinst +131

2019-07-11 Thread Tom Reynolds
This command was reported to successfully work around this bug:

  sudo sed -i 's/^Automatically/# Automatically/g' /var/lib/dpkg/info
/base-files.postinst

It changes any lines starting with "Automatically" into comments, which
lets the script finish properly when you run:

  sudo dpkg --configure base-files

Or just run this afterwards:

  sudo apt -f install

[Bug 1836258] [NEW] Update hyperlink when enabling UCA

2019-07-11 Thread Peter Matulis
Public bug reported:

When enabling UCA a hyperlink is printed:

 More info: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ServerTeam/CloudArchive
Press [ENTER] to continue or Ctrl-c to cancel adding it.

The hyperlink redirects to:

[Bug 722201] Re: CTDB port is not aware of Ubuntu-specific NFS Settings

2019-07-11 Thread Rafael David Tinoco
Okay, for Eoan merge, I forgot to fix script 06.nfs (just like 60.nfs
was fixed) in the following patch:

  * d/p/fix-nfs-service-name-to-nfs-kernel-server.patch:
change nfs service name from nfs to nfs-kernel-server

I'm creating a new MR to include this fix and the SRUs will contain
both.

[Bug 1833299] Re: lasso includes "Destination" attribute in SAML AuthnRequest populated with SP AssertionConsumerServiceURL when ECP workflow is used which leads to IdP-side errors

2019-07-11 Thread Dmitrii Shcherbakov
Christian,

I updated the description based on the SRU template and also modified
the changelogs and commit messages.

** Description changed:

- See comments on the bug:
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/charm-keystone-saml-mellon/+bug/1833134
+ [Impact]
+
+ * Usage of ECP is not possible with mod_auth_mellon because the AuthnRequest
message has the Destination attribute set incorrectly;
+ * https://dev.entrouvert.org/issues/34409;
+ * Blocks the enablement of a feature
https://bugs.launchpad.net/charm-keystone-saml-mellon/+bug/1833134;

  Lasso is used by libapache2-mod-auth-mellon to create SAML messages.
  When ECP profile (http://docs.oasis-open.org/security/saml/Post2.0/saml-
  ecp/v2.0/cs01/saml-ecp-v2.0-cs01.pdf) is used it populates an
  AuthnRequest with the "Destination" attribute as follows:

  https://keystone.maas:5000/v3/OS-FEDERATION/identity_providers/samltestid/protocols/saml2/auth/mellon/paosResponse;
 Consent="urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:2.0:consent:current-implicit" SignType="0"
SignMethod="0" ForceAuthn="false" IsPassive="false"
AssertionConsumerServiceURL="https://keystone.maas:5000/v3/OS-FEDERATION/identity_providers/samltestid/protocols/saml2/auth/mellon/paosResponse;>

https://keystone.maas:5000/v3/OS-FEDERATION/identity_providers/samltestid/protocols/saml2/auth
  http://www.w3.org/2000/09/xmldsig#;>

  This triggers the Destination attribute validation logic relevant for "HTTP
Redirect" and "HTTP POST" bindings only (per the spec, sections 3.4.5.2 and
3.5.5.2), not SOAP or PAOS bindings (sections before 3.4).
  http://docs.oasis-open.org/security/saml/v2.0/saml-bindings-2.0-os.pdf

  For example, Shibboleth IdP (samltest.id) errors out as follows as the
  Destination attribute was populated with an SP URL:

  2019-06-18 16:54:25,435 - ERROR

[org.opensaml.saml.common.binding.security.impl.ReceivedEndpointSecurityHandler:?]
  - Message Handler: SAML message intended destination endpoint
  'https://keystone.maas:5000/v3/OS-

FEDERATION/identity_providers/samltestid/protocols/saml2/auth/mellon/paosResponse'
  did not match the recipient endpoint
  'https://samltest.id/idp/profile/SAML2/SOAP/ECP'

  For ECP it makes sense to avoid inclusion of the "Destination" attribute
  to AuthnRequest (see https://bugs.launchpad.net/charm-keystone-saml-
  mellon/+bug/1833134/comments/3).

- The attached patch is merely an illustration that not using Destination with
ECP results in a successful authentication:
- https://bugs.launchpad.net/charm-keystone-saml-mellon/+bug/1833134/comments/2
+ [Test Case]
+
+ * Deploy an Identity Provider with PAOS binding and ECP handling support or
use a publicly available one (e.g. samltest.id shibboleth instance);
+ * Deploy a Service Provider (e.g. Keystone) and protect its relevant URLs via
mod_auth_mellon (e.g. via charm-keystone-mellon);
+ * Use an ECP client (openstack keystone client with v3samlpassword
authentication plugin) to access the service provider (e.g. try to obtain a
Keystone token);
+ * Validate that the IdP did not error our based on the request provided by
the ECP client;
+ * Validate by the IdP logs that the Destination attribute of AuthnRequest was
NOT present (unset).
+
+
+ [Regression Potential]
+
+ * The regression potential is minimal as the patch functionally adds a
+ simple PAOS-related code branch to avoid including the Destination
+ attribute.

[Bug 1835488] Re: hp-toolbox constantly shows printer as unavailable, but printer prints and hp-info / hp-doctor see the printer

2019-07-11 Thread Sergio Callegari
I am currently using hplip 3.19.1 which is not exactly the latest and
greatest, but should be fairly recent being the version provided by
ubuntu 19.04. In fact, the latest hplip is 3.19.6.

The printer I am encountering issues with hp-toolbox is an HP Color
Laserjet PRO M281fdw, which should be in full support in hplip 3.19.1.
As a matter of fact, support for this printer was introduced with hplip
3.18.5.

Incidentally, I have tried hp-toolbox with a network connected HP
laserjet pro M201dw and it works with that printer.

My issue may sound like "CR 59273 – Supplies and status information are
not displayed in the hp-toolbox" in the hplip release notes but this is
fixed in 3.18.7 which is older than mine, so it cannot be.

The hplip release notes do not report any other bug fixed in versions of
hplip more recent than mine (it is mainly the enablement of new printers
and scanners), so updating to the latest hplip does not seem sensible.
In fact hplip from the hplip site is not packaged and if you install it,
you then risk having issues updating your distro in the future.

[Bug 1816721] Re: [SRU] Python3 librados incompatibility

2019-07-11 Thread Łukasz Zemczak
Since this is an SRU of the python-glance-store we'd normally need to
know the version number of python-glance-store that was used for
verification, not glance-api (as it's built from a different package).
That being said, the test output looks otherwise good, so I'll
conditionally accept this verification.

Thank you Robie and Lukasz for the SRU work on this.

Test fails:
- libreoffice: is a known flaky test that I restarted

  Yes, the problem is that autopkgtest itself broke and not the test.

[Bug 1836147] [NEW] ubuntu installation crashes with errno 30

2019-07-11 Thread Illia
Public bug reported:

While installing any ubuntu based distro (xubuntu 18.04, xubuntu 19.04, lubuntu
18.04) I encounter the same error: errno30 read-only filesystem. I`ve tried
different usb drives, different usb ports, moving my ssd (Western digital green
480gb) to another SATA port, nothing helps. Windows can be installed without
problems, but ubuntu fails.
My laptop is ASUS K50IN with t9800 CPU and Western digital ssd, BIOS version
223. Everything else is in stock version
