[Bug 205254] Re: python-policyd-spf failing on AOL SPF records.

[Bug 1931213] [NEW] fwupd installs without shim if secure boot is disabled
Public bug reported: [Impact] fwupd currently configures the boot entry without shim if secure boot is disabled, leading to different code paths being taken on non-secureboot systems, and fwupd being broken if you intercept the reboot and turn on secure boot. This makes verifying changes harder. [Test plan] Run fwupdmgr reinstall or similar on a system without secure boot and ensure that shim is present in the boot entry created. Check old version to ensure it was broken before [Where problems could occur] shim in hirsute+ currently is unable to load fwupd, and it's not the first time this has happened. [Bug 1930754] Re: e1000e extremly slow
To whom is may concern. I found the workaround for this. The trick is to set the boot kernel parameter "pcie_aspm=off" in '/etc/default/grub' Like this: GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="splash pcie_aspm=off" After that run; update-grub pcie_aspm is some sort of power management thingie which probably puts my networkcontroller to sleep or something. I tried option 1 (ubuntu-bug), I get a popup and hit send. Popup is gone, nothing is shown in terminal. Option 2 unfortunately does not show anything recent has been sent in. I still have the crash file. I did the clean install with USB boot stick 3 times, each time I have the crash, same crash file, same issue not being able to send the bug in. [Bug 1928434] Re: shim-signed does not boot on EFI 2.40 by Apple
Doug, I'm not sure how you get confused, or why you spam the bug tracker with ASCII art like this. This = "vendor is apple OR can't read vendor" - the statement which caused the issue and which you blamed Python for for unknown reasons - was intentional, as I said. We explicitly discussed that and said that if the vendor is not readable, we should not upgrade either - it might be Apple after all. [Bug 1664844] Re: No distinction between link-up and link-down interfaces
Okay, I think I see an issue that I'm investigating right now, this might be a verification-failed actually. We might need to cherry-pick something more than just the selected patchset. I have observed that if you set ActivationPolicy to a mode that doesn't default to bringing the interface up on boot (like 'manual', 'down' or 'always-down'), systemd will wait indefinitely for the given interface to become online on reboot. This only happens for the SRUs, impish seems to be fine - which means that we might be missing a later change to make sure there is no wait in this case. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1664844 Title: No distinction between link-up and link-down interfaces To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/maas/+bug/1664844/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1931240] [NEW] Intel ADL-S graphics feature enabling
Public bug reported: [SRU Justfication] [Impact] While all other ADL-S i915 commits have been included in v5.13-rc1, the last one missed the train is to add two more PCI IDs. [Fix] Commit 3f50033dd88a ("drm/i915/adl_s: ADL-S platform Update PCI ids for Mobile BGA") that is currently in drm-intel, branch for-linux-next. [Test Case] With this patch, i915 kernel module should be automatically probed. [Where problems could occur] While this is part of the initial support for i915 on ADL-S platforms, the hardware to be enabled could still be unstable and feature laking. But since this patch only addes two additional PCI IDs to the new family, it should not introduce any regression to the exsiting ones. [Other Info] ADL-S support targets kernel version 5.13, so only unstable and oem-5.13 will be nominated for this fix. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: High Assignee: You-Sheng Yang (vicamo) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Affects: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: High Assignee: You-Sheng Yang (vicamo) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: High Assignee: You-Sheng Yang (vicamo) Status: In Progress ** Affects: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided Status: Invalid ** Tags: hwe-graphics ihv-intel ** Also affects: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Also affects: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided Assignee: You-Sheng Yang (vicamo) Status: New ** Also affects: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Focal) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Focal) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Focal) Assignee: (unassigned) => You-Sheng Yang (vicamo) ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Status: New => In Progress ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Impish) Importance: Undecided => High ** Changed in: linux (Ubuntu Focal) Status: New => Invalid ** Changed in: linux-oem-5.13 (Ubuntu Impish) Status: New => Invalid -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1931240 Title: Intel ADL-S graphics feature enabling To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1931240/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1931242] [NEW] linux-uc20-efi: make it easy to build derivative kernel.efi
Public bug reported: linux-uc20-efi: make it easy to build derivative kernel.efi Currently debian/rules & debian.uc20-efi/control.stub are tightly coupled and hardcode the source package name (linux-uc20-efi), its relationship to linux-unsigned-image-* packages, and flavours to build kernel.efi apps for. Decouple those things a little bit, to make it easier to build derivative kernel.efi apps. 1) do not calculate KERNEL_SOURCE variable at all, as it is not needed 2) calculate flavours to build kernel.efi for, from build-deps This allows to create a derivative linux-blah-uc20-efi, and simply adjust debian.blah-uc20-efi/control.stub and produce correct signing tarballs for the correct required derivative flavour. ** Affects: linux (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1931242 Title: linux-uc20-efi: make it easy to build derivative kernel.efi To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1931242/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
