[Bug 1680904] Re: zesty unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference
I've experienced apparently random freezes on 17.04 (kernel 4.10.0-21). It appears to happen when Chrome is active, although Chrome is probably active all the time. There's nothing out of the ordinary in kern.log, but syslog has: May 23 12:44:34 thornback unity-panel-ser[2612]: menus_destroyed: assertion 'IS_WINDOW_MENU(wm)' failed May 23 12:44:34 thornback compiz[2603]: WARN 2017-05-23 12:44:34 unity.glib.dbus.proxy GLibDBusProxy.cpp:487 Calling method "EmitEvent" on object path: "/com/ubuntu/Upstart" failed: GDBus.Error:org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.ServiceUnknown: The name com.canonical.Unity.Test.Upstart was not provided by any .service files May 23 12:44:34 thornback systemd[2058]: Stopped target A target that, when running, represents the screen being locked. [Bug 1674838] Re: kernel BUG at /build/linux-7LGLH_/linux-4.10.0/include/linux/swapops.h:129
Just had something similar to Patrick's in #100 above, but this time on 9 different GPFs on kernel 4.10.0-21.
