I've improved the touchpad response by increasing the maximum amount of power the laptop uses on battery on TLP. For those who have TLP installed, change this settings. Is the not best, but it works a bit better. #CPU_MIN_PERF_ON_AC=0 CPU_MAX_PERF_ON_AC=100 #CPU_MIN_PERF_ON_BAT=0 CPU_MAX_PERF_ON_BAT=80 then reload the tlp driver or restart the laptop. sudo tlp start (make sure the laptop is not plugged in) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1809586 Title: [ 14.259626] i2c_hid i2c-HTIX5288:00: i2c-HTIX5288:00 supply vddl not found, using dummy regulator To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1809586/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

[Bug 1803881] Re: thermal thermal_zone4: failed to read out thermal zone (-61)
This issue happens with the stock 4.15 kernel. I have upgraded the kernel to 4.18 and 4.19 and was getting the same issue. I managed to get rid off the error now. It seems it does not like intel_pstate. I added intel_pstate=disable to grub and the error has gone away. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1803881 Title: thermal thermal_zone4: failed to read out thermal zone (-61) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1803881/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs

Hi Colin, I tried testing your kernel but it fails on every boot, I get initramfs /proc/cmdline error. Currently I am now running Ubuntu 19.04 kernel 5.0 and the error persist. I tried uninstalling thermald but the problem is still there. I have also installed linux-firmware 1.179, same problem.
