2019-04-08 Thread momcilo78
Public bug reported:

Affected: 18.04.2 (did not try earlier versions of 18.04 series)
Not affected: 16.04 - any version (UI was different)

Preparation steps:
1. open gnome control center
2. open Region & Language
3. open Manage installed languages
4. open Install/Remove languages
5. select Serbian, click Apply
6. provide credentials for sudo installation
7. wait for installation to complete
8. click Close

What is wrong:
1. open gnome control center
2. open Region & Language
3. click Language selection
4. Serbian is not visible

[Bug 1891916] Re: virtualbox-dkms 6.1.10-dfsg-1~ubuntu1.20.04.1 fails to build with kernel 5.8

2021-01-08 Thread momcilo78
I have the same problem since upgrade. This is one of the major
applications: please consider removing Won't fix and comment on possible
solutions and workarounds

If the kernel is upgraded and virtualbox stops working there are 2 possible
choices:
1. patch the kernel
2. update virtualbox package version to latest available (6.1.16 according
to: https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Downloads)

Most likely the second option is easier, especially since the patch
version is what changed.

As for the workarounds:
1. downgrade the kernel
2. switch to upstream packages from virtualbox project itself

[Bug 1975853] [NEW] Firefox does not respect policies.json file anymore.

2022-05-26 Thread momcilo78
Public bug reported:

I use ansible to deploy policies.json file into
/usr/lib/firefox/distribution/ folder in order to ensure that all family
users use the same set of plugins on all of the ubuntu machines we have.

I found that in ubuntu 22.04 this is not the case anymore.

If I open the following page in firefox: about:policies I get the
following message:

The Enterprise Policies service is inactive.

Please advise if this is intended and if there is a replacement
mechanism.

Note: I visited the documentation of mozilla and could not find anything
on this subject related to linux.
