Please build libreoffice-systray package (re-enable quickstarter) - sync with Debian LibreOffice packaging

2016-11-14 Thread UAB "Bona Mens" paslaugos
Hi Ubuntu LibreOffice packagers,

I've noticed, that in Ubuntu's LibreOffice 5.2 builds (PPA and
Yaketty) there is no possibility to enable quickstarter in Preferences
dialog, while in Debian LibreOffice 5.2 a new libreoffice-systray
package appeared, which provides this functionality.

Please build (re-enable) libreoffice-systray package, Ubuntu users
need faster LibreOffice startup, look at Debian bug 825642 for
example.
I support several schools and small companies, which use Libreoffice
since 2010 (and Ubuntu since 2008) - all computers have enabled
quickstarter, because LibreOffice startup is too long on older
hardware with slow HDDs ;)

Debian LibreOffice packages have re-enabled systray building since
5.2.1~rc1, see debian/changelog.
Here is the patch for ENABLE_SYSTRAY in debian/rules and creating
additional libreoffice-systray package in debian/control :
https://anonscm.debian.org/git/pkg-openoffice/libreoffice.git/commit/?id=9287282e7501487ab9e2a690a88e1022a26b148e

libreoffice (1:5.2.1~rc1-1) experimental; urgency=medium
  * new upstream release candidate .
  * debian/rules, debian/control.transitionals.in: readd -gtk astransitional
package; depend on -gtk2 (closes: #833676) and -systray
  * debian/rules: re-enable systray (closes: #825642)

I've also reported a bug, see:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/libreoffice/+bug/1635847
