trackerd is a daemon that indexes your files so that the tracker applet
can find content for you on your computer quickly.

If you google for trackerd, this is the first hit:
http://www.eyrie.org/~eagle/software/tracker/trackerd.html

I thought that was the tracker program running in Ubuntu.
