Autosyncing new packages could continue to sync new packages long after the importfreeze until universe new packages freeze. python-cjson is on Debian but not on Ubuntu
Dear Python developers, python-cjson is available on Debian Lenny/Sid but still not there in the Ubuntu repos. Please see: http://packages.debian.org/search?suite=allsection=allarch=anysearchon=nameskeywords=cjson http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=cjsonsearchon=namessubword=1version=allrelease=all When other json modules for python are available in Ubuntu: http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?keywords=jsonsearchon=namessubword=1version=allrelease=all is there any reason that python-cjson is not available? It's a recent addition to Debian itself (2007-Aug-14) so it may have been overlooked but it's a must-include, IMHO. That was past the point where automatic syncing from Debian happened and no one requested it be done manually. We are now close to two weeks past the New Package Freeze for Gutsy, and so inclusion in Gutsy (even if an exception was requested) is unlikely. Do I have to do anything to get it included in Hardy? Do *all* Debian packages get synced to Ubuntu or do you people pick and select? I believe that generally new packages get synced automatically, but I'm not 100% certain.
