The process of Ubuntu membership is very properly documented. Also it
recognizes contributions in all areas of contribution.
If people are confused about how to start contributing to get the
membership they can always post questions here.

This was never initiated by anyone I know. And IMO, there is nothing
to be revived. Ubuntu membership is a pretty damn good incentive for
contributions. I would suggest not to create a lot of parallel roads.

We go gag-ga only for a day or two and then settle down to work. Once in 
a while this hype is worth it. Consider it as "vacations"


Imitate the Apple ecosystem. OSX names after cats? 10.7 was called Lion, 
then probably 10.8 will be called Witch and 10.9 as wardrobe :)
