the kernel has a file that specifies the versions of dkms's to use for
the built, and they are set in stone when a new kernel SRU cycle starts

the current linux & linux-oem-6.8 kernels in noble-proposed both build
modules from:

ipu6-drivers 0~git202404110253.97c94720-0ubuntu1

so linux 6.8.0-34.34 and linux-oem-6.8 6.8.0-1006.6 both have the right
version of ipu6, and can be used for testing

No, that's the prebuilt module package built by the kernel by using the
ipu6-dkms from the archive, so for testing you just need the updated
kernel (which has ivsc in-tree) & linux-modules-ipu6- and check
that they play with each other

[Bug 2008958] Please test proposed package

Hello Dimitri, or anyone else affected,

Accepted power-profiles-daemon into mantic-proposed. The package will
build now and be available at
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/power-profiles-
daemon/0.21-1~23.10.1 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed
repository.

Please help us by testing this new package.  See
https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how
to enable and use -proposed.  Your feedback will aid us getting this
update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug,
mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been
performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-
mantic to verification-done-mantic. If it does not fix the bug for you,
please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-
failed-mantic. In either case, without details of your testing we will
not be able to proceed.

N.B. The updated package will be released to -updates after the bug(s)
