Thats also very limted.. I am passinate about ubuntu, but working in Windows environment. Yesterday I got the first Ubuntu installed machine in our Company, but not able to cnnect to Windows domain. Also we cannot use it like other networked Windows Operating systems. They dont even have support for Linux machines. Only they do is to have Linux Servers So best of luck lakshmanan.. 2wire is one of such company. There primary work is in embedded domain (DSL routers) but they also have very few java based server products (mainly used as remote management tools for routers). Most developers there use some linux distro (mostly Ubuntu) as primary OS because of the tools required for daily tasks. 2wire India is situated in Pune, Maharashtra. I can start my own startup (some one replied me this) but I have no single penny for doing that :) anyways, there are not much companies working in the way I told you, so probably I will start one soon after some experience. I belong to ubuntu-java-web category of developers. That was the shortest way i could describe my profile :) Means a java web develop who wants to work on Ubuntu. Right? I am B.E fresher (passing out this may 2010) from chennai.I dont want to work using windows even at my work. since this ubuntu india group, I thought I can ask you guys the set of software companies in chennai or india (apart from google, IBM and other big wig companies) which uses ubuntu in its core development operations.If you know any, name them please. Do any startups use ubuntu as their operatings system in work ? I think if you are so passionate. Why not be a part of Ubuntu development?
