On a few occasions I have contacted them direct via email (in uk)
once urgently, and have received useful responses. They are a small
organisation, Ubuntu is bigger than the sum of its parts.

I do not expect to receive any information from them that is not
already published elsewhere.
Dovetailing with a group of volunteers at a distance has an
unpredictability which hopefully would be done with due discretion for
all sorts of reasons..

currently headed, what projects and campaigns are currently
underway and areas where I can help. Just a brief rundown would be

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MarketingTeam , should give you an overview.
There is spreadubuntu which is a placeholder or one-stop spot for
every team across the world to source publicity material.

Besides, we have loco teams which handle support and local events,
install fests and suchlike... in their respective countries and dont
report here (read, autonomous decision makers).

And then there is the Canonical marketing team which handles the
official aspects of business.

I have always appreciated it as a central overview, close to a
touchstone of strategy - creations and comparisons etc.

Considering that marketing is the core of any company it would be
nicer if we could sync more with the Canonical team.

At the last count there were 457 (you being the 457th) :)

I have some questions on getting my new Kubuntu properly sorted.

Fire away and we'll see what we can do. However I feel compelled to
point you in the direction of the 'official' support channels just in
case we can't.
