| I think the best way to overcome this is to have a set kernel
| development schedule for the release, with relative dates bound by
| milestones, freezes, and other dates on the main release schedule. I
| think keeping the projects informed about what they can expect from the
| kernel, and how they need to interact with the kernel team for their
| schedules, would benefit all.

Another option would be to have faster-moving targets such as the UME
port build-depend on linux-source-2.6.22 and then we can do uploads at
our own leisure.

This requires a bit more manpower, but would make it harder for us to
end up being blocked in the way we've been recently.

* Implemented UI changes to preference tabs. Jimmy is working on
replacing the network proxy setting with gconf.
* Investigated panning support for Midbrowser. Found out that
someone has implemented panning support for Minimo, I Will see what it
takes to incorporate that into Midbrowser.
* Analyzed incoming bugs. Will be in bug fixing mode in the next
couple of weeks.

At least that's how we do it in alsa.

We're going through some teething pains because in some respects we're still
bootstrapping the base system. Moving to the lpia architecture was a
massive change and some breakage was to be expected.

That said, could do better here. Amit, do you have the necessary resources
to test a kernel build from GIT all the way through to an installable image?

I think so, yes. I need to start figuring out how to use the machine
farm to speed up compile and spare my poor laptop though.
