Am I missing codecs? Should I file a bug or is it already known? I

We should be able to play those. Please open a bug in media-hub:

Hi,

On mako - rc-proposed, the hotspot is seen by pc or android mobile but they
can't not connect to it (asking several times for password without
connect). I've changed the default / random password in hotspot

Other things seems to work fine (activation, configuration, indicator, ...)

I agree with Mathias, this conceptually is the same as in return
receipts in ordinary email; it is a feature implemented by Mail User
Agents, and every (serious) Mail User Agent permits the user to disable it.

If this feature is part of the Telegram protocol, the protocol itself is
seriously broken, and in that case I will avoid at all Telegram usage.

MDNs (RFC 3798) are a formalization of Return Receipts , but exactly
for the same privacy reasons Mathias refers to, requests for MDNs are
entirely advisory in nature - i.e. recipients are free to ignore such
requests:

[Ubuntu-phone] Landing team 24.07.15

2015-07-24 Thread Łukasz 'sil2100' Zemczak
Hello everyone,

The big mir 0.14.0 landing in devel finally migrated from proposed to
the release pocket in wily - we are now working on getting the same
changes scheduled for the vivid overlay. In the meantime Alan prepared a
new revision of the notes-app which passed QA sign-off and should be
made available for users in the store shortly. We also had some fixes to
the ubuntu-keyboard released as well as a new unity8. Besides that,
things were rather quiet today.

Starting next week we will be enabling the automatic language pack
uploads for the overlay PPA - first, of course, trying to import all
existing translations from wily. Expect an announcement for that
somewhere beginning next week.

Remember that end of next week is also the deadline for the gcc-5
release - be sure to help out as much as you can with any touch related
projects.

Have a nice weekend everyone!

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] XHR doesn't work because of apparmor

2015-07-24 Thread Bogdan Cuza
Yes, it seems like this (I installed the app trough pkcon, with
allow-unconfined). I should elaborate on the fact that it doesn't cause a stop,
my url was miswritten, the xhr works, but it still prints this.

You are getting an apparmor denial with an unconfined app?

 I solved this by using:
 if (xhr.readyState == 4) {
 if (xhr.status == 200) {
instead of XMLHttpRequest.DONE. Hope this helps someone :)

 Probably related to this bug:

It prints the same apparmor denial.

When I press the send button the recipient is emptied then nothing happens.

When I answer a mail then I have to retype the adress since some time -
and to hit Enter or it disappears. Maybe this helps you.

Re: [Ubuntu-phone] [Call for testing] Wi-Fi Hotspots (Internet tethering)

2015-07-24 Thread Gijs Hillenius
Wayne,

try this:

as root, so use sudo -s

1) add-apt-repository ppa:ci-train-ppa-service/landing-046

2) vi /etc/apt/preferences.d/silo.pref

Package: *
Pin: release o=LP-PPA-ci-train-ppa-service-landing-046
Pin-Priority: 1002

3) apt-get update

4) apt-get install indicator-network qml-module-ubuntu-connectivity
libconnectivity-qt1 ubuntu-system-settings libsystemsettings1

at this moment, this installs:

indicator-network 0.5.2+15.04.20150722-0ubuntu1
qml-module-ubuntu-connectivity:armhf0.5.2+15.04.20150722-0ubuntu1
libconnectivity-qt1:armhf 0.5.2+15.04.20150722-0ubuntu1
ubuntu-system-settings 0.3+15.04.20150723-0ubuntu1
libsystemsettings1:armhf0.3+15.04.20150723-0ubuntu1

5) reboot

After that, the menu shows up.

I also tried the citrain command and did not see the settings for the
hot spot. However, after installing the following and rebooting I had
the settings for a hotspot:

sudo apt-get install {ubuntu-system-settings,libsystemsettings1}=0.3
+15.04.20150724-0ubuntu
sudo apt-get install
{indicator-network,qml-module-ubuntu-connectivity,libconnectivity-qt1}=0.5.2+15.04.20150722-0ubuntu1

@Wayne: Please note that I installed a more recent version 20150724
instead of 20150722.

Hope this helps.

Am I missing codecs? Should I file a bug or is it already known? I

We should be able to play those. Please open a bug in media-hub:
