Re: [Ubuntu-phone] [Development] Owncloud Sync
Dear Unix1, thanks for your kind help. I misspelled the domain in my mail, but I also could solve the config issues. Indeed it now syncs. Sorry, the fault was on my side! It seems it only syncs the calendar, is contact sync also envisaged in the future? Thanks again, and good progress for the future. dg Am 21.09.2016 um 04:43 schrieb Unix One: > On 09/20/2016 12:58 PM, Daniel wrote: > >> However trying to use my host prae.cloud.me there is an error message >> "invalid host". > > Let's see: > > ~$ dig @8.8.8.8 prae.cloud.me | grep HEADER > ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NOERROR, id: 56373 > ;; ->>HEADER<<- opcode: QUERY, status: NXDOMAIN, id: 25819 > > NXDOMAIN = the host name doesn't resolve. [Ubuntu-phone] [Development] Owncloud Sync
Dear Developers, I was very happy to see that you integrated an Owncloud sync into Ubuntu Phone (especially since I guess that many users which try alternatives to Android refrain from using Google as sync backend), so thanks for taking Carddav into account. However trying to use my host prae.cloud.me there is an error message "invalid host". It seems to me that this message appears instantly without checking the URL (when I change it to an .com domain it takes some moments to check the validity). Besides that, will it be possible to use other CardDav compatible servers (horde for instance), or even zpush in the near future? Thanks for your efforts, and best wishes, gaua PS: I am using ubuntu phone on the nexus 4, I guess the rc-proposed channel.
