Yes. I had trouble with this last night. I also tried installing the 
package from the PPA, hoping that having a valid .desktop file would 
make it work, but sadly not. It also doesn't make a difference if the 
app is started before or after the hangout.



Is there a fix?



I think the only workaround I have seen people use is to share their 
entire desktop which isn't optimal of course.

I suspect that this is cause by the fact that QtQuick 2.0 is GL-based.
Maybe there is a way to force it to go through the software resterizer,
but a quick google search didn't give me much info.
