[Bug 329974] Re: SIGSEGV in _nss_dns_gethostbyname2_r() browsing Samba printers, i386 only
I am running Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 with the latest patches and in Administration-Printing-New Printer-Network Printer I do not have any Windows printer via SAMBA option. The printer I am trying to print is valid and working (several other windows boxes print to it). smbclient -L server also shows correctly the shared printer. I also run Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 and have no problem at all, although it was present on the same machine when I ran the i386 version. This problem does not seem to exist in 64-bit Ubuntu. I suspect that you have a setup problem. Re: [Bug 329974] Re: SIGSEGV in _nss_dns_gethostbyname2_r() browsing Samba printers, i386 only
just install smbclient .. you can do this in the command window, not abslotuley sure but I think it is something like: sudo apt-get install smbclient Make sure that samba is not loaded when you do this. you need to do a stop on samba if it is running. This worked great fro me under Ubuntu 9.04 and solved my inability to print on a win box printer in my LAN. ron On Sat, Jun 13, 2009 at 12:25 PM, Stefan Radovanovici ste...@nektulos.dewrote: I am running Ubuntu 9.04 AMD64 with the latest patches and in Administration-Printing-New Printer-Network Printer I do not have any Windows printer via SAMBA option. [Bug 386867] Re: package mysql-server-5.0 5.1.30really5.0.75-0ubuntu10.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1
The mysql apparmor profiles work fine for me here (Ubuntu Jaunty 9.04). Please describe what you mean by the profiles being bogus in considerably more depth. Please be constructive -- suggest imrpovements to them if you feel they are needed. If you have chosen to manually move MySQL database files into a non-standard location, you will need to adjust your apparmor profiles to reflect that non-standard change. Please note that removing /etc/init.d/apparmor is *not* in any sense a way to fix this properly and reduces overall system security. ** Changed in: mysql-dfsg-5.0 (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- package mysql-server-5.0 5.1.30really5.0.75-0ubuntu10.2 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/386867 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to mysql-dfsg-5.0 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
