[Bug 456985] Re: account configuration not working
Steve, Would you agree to adding the broken_shadow option to pam_unix in the account mode? The use case here is a laptop that normally authenticates with kerberos and gets it's NSS from LDAP, including the shadow map, even though it's not really used in this situation (due to the use of kerberos). This all works fine when the laptop is connected to the network. But take it away from the network where it depends on pam-ccreds to cache the kerberos authentication tokens (works just fine) and nscd to cache the passwd/group entries that were used while connected to the network, there is no shadow entry available for nscd cached passwd entries and thus, pam_unix's account mode breaks. -- account configuration not working https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/456985 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to libnss-ldap in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

The tomcat6 patch is splitted here in two different chunks: - tomcat6-1.debdiff merges the maven POM changes into the Ubuntu package - tomcat6-2.debdiff adds some changes to provide compatibility links so that the jars can be found and used as in the current version in karmic. tomcat6-common and libtomcat6-java are not used by eucalyptus, the changes in libservlet2.5-java are additions only (the debdiff of the binary shows that the .jar files are replaced by hard links). ** Attachment added: tomcat6-binaries.debdiff http://launchpadlibrarian.net/34313283/tomcat6-binaries.debdiff -- package merges in main, required for the maven2 build https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/454822 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to tomcat6 in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

Public bug reported: Binary package hint: backuppc Backuppc errors restoring when it encounters filenames starting ~$ Some background: ~$ files are temporary files, created by Microsoft Word in the current directory whilst Word is editing the original file. So the setgid bit which causes this effect is actually on purpose; from README.Debian: Setgid ssh-agent and environment variables -- As of version 1:3.5p1-1, ssh-agent is installed setgid to prevent ptrace() attacks retrieving private key material. This has the side-effect of causing glibc to remove certain environment variables which might have security implications for set-id programs, including LD_PRELOAD, LD_LIBRARY_PATH, and TMPDIR. If you need to set any of these environment variables, you will need to do so in the program exec()ed by ssh-agent. Steve, You can close this. i have figured out how to make my LDAP passwd map behave. [Bug 460183] Re: Postfix package errors during Ubuntu 9.10 upgrade
After modifying main.cf, be sure to run '/etc/init.d/postfix reload'. auto mode. Running newaliases newaliases: warning: valid_hostname: numeric hostname: 04 newaliases: fatal: file /etc/postfix/main.cf: parameter mydomain: bad parameter value: 04 Not a Postfix bug. 04 is not a valid hostname. Try sudo dpkg- reconfigure postfix and select a valid hostname (a fully qualified domain name like mail.example.com). ** Changed in: postfix (Ubuntu) Status: New = Invalid -- Postfix package errors during Ubuntu 9.10 upgrade https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/460183 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to postfix in ubuntu. -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
