Otherwise, the Bind server gets an error bind: No such file or directory, meaning authbind is denying it access. [Bug 343738] Re: vsftpd max username length too small
Patch was originally an FC10 patch applied to 2.0.5 that has been merged upstream as of 2.0.7. So it applies to hardy's version (2.0.6), and username length doesn't require to be patched elsewhere in upstream code. On the hardy PAM getting along with those long usernames, no, that was not tested on my side, I just checked the patch, its upstream history, built and sponsored the upload. [Bug 503180] Re: eucalyptus-cloud doesn't reply to requests
Okay, I talked to Scott about similar upstart situations last week, and I think I have his blessing on what I thought would be hacky. Basically, we need to create an additional, upstart (psuedo) job, that would start on started networking, and basically loop until some conditional is settled (in this case, ip_address_obtained), at which point this psuedo job would emit a signal. The Eucalyptus upstart jobs would simply wait on this signal. [Bug 499520] Re: default uec-image requires at least 300 M of RAM to run - m1.small and c1.medium not needed by default
I'm elevating the eucalyptus task here to High (which might be a bit ambitious), but I'm also targeting at A3. I've been doing some scalability testing on my 5-node cluster, each node having 4GB of memory. I'm able to run up to 14 x 256MB guests per node. It would be nice to get a few more on there. Still, I think we should at least have a good look at our default instance sizes, and just review them if nothing else (perhaps just closing this bug).
