[Bug 1069570] Re: 1 MAC Address, two IPs - DNS is out of sync with DHCP leases databases, I think...
I'm declining this for precise and quantal SRU as the fix for this bug is the addition of a new configuration parameter and parameter number which is a feature change and therefore not suitable for SRU. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to maas in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1069570 Title: 1 MAC Address, two IPs - DNS is out of sync with DHCP leases databases, I think... [Bug 1069570] Re: 1 MAC Address, two IPs - DNS is out of sync with DHCP leases databases, I think...
@stgraber, whilst I am not happy with the latest debdiff.. I do think this issue requires closer consideration. This is the only way that has been determined to resolve multiple IP leases per boot (can consume up to 3 different ones, with some configurations). This means that pools are quickly exhausted, which is a real issue in larger deployments. Therefore, it would seem to be the best way to solve this bug. Whilst this does introduce a new configuration option, it has a seemingly low impact - as it doesn't change defaults, nor require configuration changes to people upgrading - is a well documented change in the manpage. And importantly, solves a larger bug that has been an issue for some time. [Bug 1164475] Re: Missing dependency (libxml2) in raring
The libxml 2.9 release notes appear comprehensive and make no mention of any backwards incompatibilities. bind9 appears to continue functioning correctly built and linked with libxml 2.9. Upstream don't appear to have a public bug tracker, but responded to my email quickly, telling me that 2.9 support has now been added to 9.6-ESV-R9, 9.8.5, 9.9.3 and 9.10.0. So it looks like it is safe to link against libxml 2.9. No need to forward to Debian, as this doesn't currently affect Debian and bind9 in Debian will presumably be updated to the latest upstream when it does. Martin, Thanks for your attention to detail - for considering a FFe request. However, I'm not quite sure anything you have listed in the bug description requires a FFe. [Bug 1167921] Re: Feature freeze exception for python juju 0.7 in raring
As this is a new major version, seemed worth playing it safe. Quoting Seth Arnold (509...@bugs.launchpad.net): Urgh. sorry for losing track of this bug. I forgot to subscribe after submitting my comment. I believe your proposed additional check would be sufficient. I _think_ better might be to destroy the lock pointer in the shared structure when freeing the object but before unlocking -- preventing other threads from acquiring the lock once the free path has started. Just to help myself think through this, freer | racing get()er lxc_container_put() \ lxclock(c-privlock)lxc_container_get() \ c-numthreads = 0 \ lxclock(c-privlock) - waits \ lxcunlock \ \ lxc_container_free \ lxclock() returns \ c-numthreads 1 - return \ \ (free stuff) \ \ sem_destroy(privlock) So lxclock() needs to check that sem is not NULL as you said before; Setting c-privlock = NULL before calling sem_destroy on (a copy of :) it will help another race - I think that is what you are suggesting here. I'm trying to figure out if there is still a possible race with that, where the get()er dereferences c-privlock, then put()er sets c-privlock = NULL and sem_destroy()s it, then get()er calls sem_wait(), resulting in 'undefined behavior' per the man page. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/509647 Title: [MIR] lxc To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/509647/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
