[Bug 1177684] [NEW] php5-gd doesn't close /proc/NN/auxv - leaks FDs?
You have been subscribed to a public bug: The gd.so PHP5 extension (php5-gd, 5.3.10-1ubuntu3.6) 'leaks' FDs to /proc/NN/auxv or forgets to close them properly. Strange though, there is no reference to 'auxv' in the sources other than a #define in readelf.h The filehandles might also be left open on other occations than a graceful restart, on my fairly loaded systems this quickly adds up. [Bug 1177805] [NEW] samba disallows certain network clients/users and crashes
Public bug reported: Samba disallows certain network users and crashes. Specifucally, Win7 service (Cobian backup 11) logged on as local system user cannot create folders in Samba share while I can manually do so and now crashed as well. This used to work perfectly well and suddenly stopped I assume there must have been a Samba update as I did not update Windows/Cobian machine and regularily update Ubuntu/Samba server. The Samba 'panic action' script, /usr/share/samba/panic-action, was called for PID 28333 (/usr/sbin/smbd). This means there was a problem with the program, such as a segfault. Below is a backtrace for this process generated with gdb, which shows the state of the program at the time the error occurred. The Samba log files may contain additional information about the problem. If the problem persists, you are encouraged to first install the samba-dbg package, which contains the debugging symbols for the Samba binaries. [Bug 1100843] Re: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues
Update: From our testing this bug affects KVM Hypervisors on Intel processors that have the EPT feature enabled with Kernels 3.0 and greater. A list of Intel EPT supported CPUs here (http://ark.intel.com/Products/VirtualizationTechnology). When using a KVM Hypervisor Host with Linux kernel 3.0 or newer kernel with Intel EPT this bug shows itself. If the kvm_intel module is loaded with option ept=N guest performance is significantly decreased versus enabled, but it does maintain consistent performance pre and post restoration/migration. Exceptions: -A KVM Host with 2.6.32 or 2.6.39 Kernel with EPT enabled this bug is not triggered. -A KVM Host without the EPT feature enabled Intel CPU this bug is not triggered. -A KVM Host with Kernel 3.0+ and EPT kvm_intel module option disabled in this bug is not triggered A KVM hypervisor with EPT enabled on Linux Kernel 3.0 appears to be the key here. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to qemu-kvm in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1100843 Title: Live Migration Causes Performance Issues To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/qemu/+bug/1100843/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1177583] Re: lxc-list crash after lxc-destroy of a running container
To be clear - the per-container 'command' handler, which is a part of the lxc-start process, cannot multiplex, so if one command were to be, say, suspended while having an open connection to the handler, or if lxc-start itself were to be hung, that could cause lxc-info to hang (as it was doing for you), and lxc-destroy would hang while calling lxc-info (which it does to figure out if it is running). The key is to figure out how you got to that state. ** Changed in: lxc (Ubuntu) Status: New = Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to lxc in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1177583 Title: lxc-list crash after lxc-destroy of a running container To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/lxc/+bug/1177583/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs

[Bug 1177967] [NEW] Suspend to RAM wake up immediately with error Device 3:0:0:0 failed to suspend async: error 134217730
Public bug reported: Hi all, Since upgrade to Kubuntu 13.04, the suspend-to-ram option doesn't work. The error reported in the dmesg | grep PM is Device 3:0:0:0 failed to suspend async: error 134217730 The dmesg log is : [ 767.677738] PM: Syncing filesystems ... done. [ 768.725558] PM: Device 3:0:0:0 failed to suspend async: error 134217730 [ 768.842476] PM: Some devices failed to suspend [ 772.386385] PM: resume of devices complete after 3552.271 msecs So, when I try to suspend-to-RAM, the PC goes sleeping and wake up immediately due to a device (which one ?) that failed to suspend. I tried also the pm-suspend in command line, same result. Instead, the suspend-to-hisk (hibernate) works perfectly. If I reboot to the Ubuntu 12.10 kernel (kernel before upgrade, version 3.5.0-27-generic), it works prefectly again. I tried with this kernel http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.8-raring/, the problem is still there. Kernel version is Linux pc-fixe 3.8.0-19-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Wed May 1 16:35:23 UTC 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux and everything is up-to-date. Ubuntu version : Description:Ubuntu 13.04 Release:13.04 I attached the log files corresponding to the problem (kern.log and pm- suspend.log). [Bug 1178090] [NEW] Existing header not overwritten when using the 'always' condition with Header set
Public bug reported: I have an application that sets some headers, but I also have Apache setting them as well to handle some special cases. I'm using the mod_headers syntax of 'Header always set X-Foo bar'. I specifically use the 'always' condition table, as I want to include these headers on non-2xx responses (such as 301, 302). However, if I use 'always' (instead of the default 'onsuccess' condition table), the headers are duplicated, which goes against what the 'set' action is supposed to do (overwrite any existing header). STR: * Have some app served by Apache set 'X-Foo: bar' * Add 'Header always set X-Foo bar' to Apache config * Notice duplicate headers * Remove the 'always' condition, and everything will be fine (only one header) Package: apache2 2.2.14-5ubuntu8.10 Distibution: Ubuntu 10.04.4 LTS ** Affects: apache2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Server Team, which is subscribed to apache2 in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1178090 Title: Existing header not overwritten when using the 'always' condition with Header set To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/apache2/+bug/1178090/+subscriptions -- Ubuntu-server-bugs mailing list Ubuntu-server-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com Modify settings or unsubscribe at: https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-server-bugs
